one friend to another, eventually finding its way to Karen Kerney, art director for the Syracuse Cultural Workers. Karen took the farmer’s message and created a global design for peace. Says Karen, "What struck me about the photo was its combination of beauty, simplicity, and that distinctly American tradition of speaking out."
