Dakota Access Pipeline
Anus Wong, SumOfUs
Dear Readers
Big News. Norway-based Bank DNB just announced it is reconsidering financing projects associated with the pipeline! This is thanks to your support, and the brave water defenders who have been on the front lines standing up for the ancestral lands of the Standing Rock Sioux and our water.
To make sure Bank DNB follows through and pulls out of the project, we’ve partnered with groups on the ground to deliver our message straight to DNB headquarters in Norway tomorrow as part of an International Day of Action in solidarity with the Standing Rock Sioux.
The best way to support tomorrow's Day of Action is to post on DNB’s Facebook wall asking it to drop the project. The more of us that add our voices now, the harder it will be for DNB to ignore.
Visit Bank DNB's Facebook page to call on it to stop the Dakota project now.
Want to do more to stop Dakota Action? Here is the email we sent to the 120,000 signers who signed the petition with a list of further actions:
Friends,
Thanks for signing the petition asking banks to stop funding the Dakota Access Pipeline. Here are some other ways you can support this movement and help the Standing Rock Sioux continue their fight:
