It's time to impeach Judge Mark Fuller
U.S. District Judge Mark Fuller assaulted his wife, but still has his lifetime appointment to the federal bench, and the $200,000 a year salary that goes along with it. The House Judiciary Committee has indicated it might start impeachment proceedings, but won't act without our pressure. Make a call to Judiciary Chair Bob Goodlatte today.

Over 121,000 CREDO Action members have joined you in calling on the House Judiciary Committee to impeach U.S. District Court Judge Mark Fuller, who was arrested in August for beating his wife.
We know the the Judiciary Committee is feeling the pressure and paying close attention to Fuller's case. In December, shortly after we delivered your petition signatures, Judiciary Chair Bob Goodlatte sent a letter to the 11th Circuit Court, asking for an update on its investigation of Judge Fuller, and the Judiciary Committee's 2015 budget includes additional funds for a possible impeachment.
But the impeachment proceedings still haven't begun and Judge Fuller is still drawing his $200,000 a year salary.
Both of Alabama’s Republican Senators have called for Judge Fuller to step down, but he still refuses to do so. The only way to get him off the federal bench is for Congress to impeach him, a move endorsed by the generally conservative editorial page of The Washington Post.
The integrity of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals is clearly at risk if a judge who assaults his wife is allowed to continue to serve. It’s outrageous that Mark Fuller got to negotiate a plea deal that gave him a free pass for domestic violence. It would be even worse if he also gets to remain on the federal bench. It's time to begin the impeachment process without further delay.
