Tomorrow, Liberty Counsel will be hand-delivering our “Investigate the IRS” petitions to leading lawmakers on Capitol Hill.

As a prior petition signer, you are included in this delivery – and your voice will be heard on Capitol Hill.

Our petition delivery coincides with another major event. Thousands of freedom-loving Americans will assemble on the West Lawn of the Capitol in a unified display of outrage against overreaching big government and the IRS abuse in targeting tea party, conservative and religious groups during the 2010-2012 election seasons.

++The IRS is Big Brother

As you know, the IRS’ targeting of conservative groups likely secured Barack Obama’s reelection by intentionally silencing the voices of those affiliated with organizations that would oppose his presidency.

But that’s not all. In less than 7 months, the IRS will seize control of ObamaCare enforcement. Do you want this same IRS playing a role in your healthcare?

Right now there is a movement among conservative lawmakers calling for the derailment of funding for IRS expansion, which would sorely handicap their ability to enforce ObamaCare.

I believe that a full investigation into the IRS will expose those responsible for the targeting of conservative, pro-life and religious organizations and empower the movement to stop the IRS expansion. I also believe that the IRS’s admitted abuse of power will potentially result is a far diminished role in the enforcement of ObamaCare.

It’s time that we aggressively confront Big Brother and Barack Obama.
