ObamaCare showdown set for May 16. 2013

In a shocking new revelation of yet more ObamaCare broken promises, a recent congressional study projects that your insurance premiums could very well skyrocket from 100 to 200 percent!

In January, I wrote that in coming months there will be a virtual avalanche of new regulations, guidelines, bureaucrats, fees, and taxes imposed on every American business and individual to support the expensive, growing reality of ObamaCare’s implementation.

A few days ago, courtesy of Senator Mitch McConnell’s office, I shared a picture of the towering stack of 20,000 pages of new regulations imposed by ObamaCare on healthcare insurance providers, agencies, and professionals.

Now, according to an exhaustive study conducted by three congressional committees, including the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, it turns out that those regulations will have catastrophic effects on insurance premiums.

One estimate shows a staggering 203 percent increase in premiums to support the ponderous new law!

Here are several excerpts from the congressional report…

“President Obama’s promise that premiums would decrease by $2,500 has been broken. Since 2008, the average family premium has instead grown by over $3,000. Even more shocking is the fact that these increases occurred even before ObamaCare’s most costly requirements go into effect in 2014.

Most people under the age of 50 will see their rates increase significantly.

Since Obamacare imposed several new regulations that make coverage unaffordable, premiums will only grow further out of control.

Obamacare imposes $165 billion in new taxes and fees on health plans, drug manufacturers, and device makers. As noted by CBO (the Congressional Budget Office), in the case of plans and devices, these ‘fees would be largely passed through to consumers in the form of higher premiums.’

One study has found that the law’s health insurance tax will increase premiums over $2,636 initially and $7,186 over a decade.”

In conclusion, the report finds…

“Taking into account empirical evidence from past state-level experiences, as well as future projections, upon implementation Obamacare will make coverage dramatically more expensive and unaffordable for individuals and families.

In short, Obamacare breaks its core promise to make health care coverage affordable as Americans across the country swallow higher premiums. From young adults to middle class families, higher premiums will soon be the harsh reality of Obamacare.”

Unless ObamaCare is stopped in court, nine months from now, on January 1, 2014, this nightmarish law will be in full force – ushering in the totality of a new era of healthcare in America that is the most invasive intrusion upon American liberty in our nation’s history, implemented by our own government.

Sadly, many Americans have become numb to the effects that ObamaCare will ultimately have on their healthcare, their personal finances, their choices, free-market enterprise, and religious institutions.

Our world-class healthcare system is in a downward “death” spiral – and ObamaCare is the principal cause.

++Seniors beware: Medicare Advantage cuts proposed.

Last week, the Obama administration proposed cuts to the Medicare Advantage program that will reduce the benefits and increase the cost to participants.

The cuts would be enacted in 2014, the start of the full implementation of ObamaCare.

Senator Marco Rubio wrote this about the proposed cuts…

“…it translates into lower funding to support the health benefits of the 14 million Medicare beneficiaries who are currently enrolled in MA [Medicare Advantage] plans.”

Because of ObamaCare, Medicare is being gutted!
