Gun Haters Using Hysteria to Hang Gun Rights

Historically, lynchings happened because people abandoned logic letting their emotions run wild while whipping up mass hysteria as anarchy or lawlessness became the rule. Fact and logic were ignored in the emotional outcry and tragedy always resulted.
The same sort of emotional hysteria is being drummed up now by Obama and the Democrats. The gun haters are hoping America doesn't notice that facts and logic simply DO NOT support the case against guns.
The Gun Haters are trying to claim their latest gun ban is necessary in the face of the wave of "mass shootings."
HERE are the facts:
- The total number of deaths in America caused by "mass shootings" like Sandy Hook, Aurora and Columbine only account for 210 deaths over 13 years. In contrast, lightning kills more people every single year than all of the mass shootings in the last 13 years combined.
- All of the firearms included under the terms of the last "Assault Weapons Ban" accounted for less than 2% of all violent crime according to a report released by the Department of Justice.
- The National Institute of Justice reported that the previous "Assault Weapons Ban" had not reduced gun crime or even gun crime involving "high capacity magazines; and that renewing the ban would have the same negligible effect on crime.
- The National Institute of Justice as well as the Department of Justice found that "Assault weapons were rarely used in gun crimes."

The facts clearly show that Assault Weapons Bans DO NOT end gun crime. So what is Senator Diane Feinstein's true objective?
Consider this. Because 70-75% of all handguns have what Feinstein's latest assault weapons ban would term as a "high capacity magazine," i.e. magazines which hold 10 rounds or more, ¾ of all available handguns would be termed illegal.
Feinstein's Assault Weapons ban is NOT about preventing mass shootings - it's about making the vast majority of guns illegal. It's a gun ban, pure and simple fueled by mass hysteria.
Feinstein: revealed her true plan to disarm the American people with a gun ban in her comments on 60 Minutes in 1995 when she said,
"If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States, for an outright ban, picking up [every gun]... Mr. and Mrs. America, turn 'em all in."
We cannot allow the lynching of our Second Amendment rights.
