'Bank of Berlin'
With Greece in its fifth year of recession and unemployment at record levels, austerity-driven graffiti can be seen throughout the Greek urban landscape.
Public protests of all sorts have multiplied since the debt crisis began. Political figures, including President Karolos Papoulias, have been physically attacked by groups protesting pension and wage cuts and other austerity measures that have been implemented to allow Greece to receive international loans to prevent financial collapse.
Protesters have occupied official buildings and burned flags of euro members, including Germany, while anti-government rallies over the past year have drawn crowds of 50,000 to Syntagma Square in central Athens.
Left, a sign on the wall of the central bank of Greece is seen covered in graffiti following demonstrations in Athens.
