The Obama administration has shown blatant disregard for religious liberty by the recent ObamaCare mandate forcing religious organizations and their insurance carriers to pay for contraceptives, sterilization, and abortifacients (chemical abortions).  Even worse, the Obama administration does not care how this mandate violates the First Amendment. Make no mistake: The ObamaCare law is an assault unleashed by the Obama administration and those who oppose liberty against the American people and the Constitution.  Passed through strong-arm tactics and backdoor deals, ObamaCare is now being forced upon every law-abiding American.  

++Liberty Counsel filed two briefs at the Supreme Court.

Liberty Counsel has now filed two substantial briefs at the U.S. Supreme Court addressing both the so-called Anti-Injunction Act (AIA) and the Commerce Clause.

Liberty Counsel’s first brief argues that the AIA does not apply and the court should immediately reach the merits of the case.

The second brief argues that the insurance “mandate” under ObamaCare exceeds Congress’s authority under the limited powers conferred by the Commerce Clause of the U.S. Constitution. Congress does NOT have the authority to force every law-abiding citizen to purchase a particular kind of health insurance.

Our lawsuit against ObamaCare is currently pending at the Supreme Court and continues to be vitally important to every citizen. At the end of March, the Supreme Court will hear six hours of argument on these important issues. Your financial support and prayers for our lawsuit have been deeply appreciated.
