Come and talk with Police Chief Art Acevedo, MADD rep Karen Houseright, City Councilman Mike Martinez, Texans for Accountable Government Steering Committee member John Bush, and the ACLU’s Debbie Russell about the Federal Grant that Police Cheif Acevedo is trying to implement in Austin, TX.
Acevedo promised to have public input before going forward with the Federal Grants, yet he took no steps to reach out to the public so we’ve reached out to him. We invited him to City Hall so that he could hear from the people!
Come and join us! There’s space for approximately 250 people and we’d love to PACK City Hall!
We urge you to attend as this might be your only chance to confront Chief Acevedo. We’re hoping that enough public pressure will persuade Acevedo to back off and respect our right to privacy.
