Apartheid Freedom
By David Icke
In other words, there is no 'freedom'and there is no 'free world'. It is a manipulated myth sold to the masses in the prison cell so they don't see the bars.
If you are free to have an opinion that suits the prevailing 'truth' but not free to express a differing opinion then where is the freedom? There is no freedom in being able to say one thing, but not another. The only freedom is the freedom to say both.
I see this hypocrisy at all levels of global society. The question 'Do you believe in freedom?' is a bit like asking ‘Do you believe in wife beating?’ Everyone is 'for' freedom when asked the question, just as everyone is 'against'wife beating. People don't like being seen to be 'anti-freedom' any more than being in favour of violence against women. But, in fact, most people are terrified of freedom in its true sense.
They will campaign for the freedom to express their own views and for those who have similar perspectives. But the same people who scream 'freedom of speech' for themselves will campaign just as vigorously to deny that right to those they disagree with. The Ludicrous Left of the Robot Radicals is a perfect example, as is the Robot Right.
The Ludicrous Left: I bet her last march was for world peace
The Left claims to stand for freedom when freedom is the last thing it wants. You see, 'freedom' means freedom for all, equality for all, - yes, even for those who have a different outlook on life. Oh, no!! Oh my God!
I was once a national speaker for the British Green Party, but when I changed my perceptions of reality and was asked back by a group of Greens to speak at the party conference I was banned by the hierarchy of the 'anti-hierarchy party' because they did not agree with what I was going to say. Actually, that's not quite right. They didn't agree with what fellow robot radicals said I was going to say – but had no intention of saying because it was never my view!
Ask the Green Party if it believes in freedom and it will go grab a banner. But it doesn't believe in freedom. It believes in apartheid freedom, which is no freedom at all. One definition of apartheid is 'a policy or practice of separating or segregating groups'. That is what we are talking about here – making some groups and views 'freer' than others and therefore denying freedom to all.
You can easily identify the minority that truly believe in freedom. They are the ones who are just as passionate about the freedom of those they don't like or agree with as they are for people in their own reality zone. But how could it be any other way? You can't be a little bit pregnant and you can't be a little bit free.
I have been libelled and slandered many times over the years, but I have never taken action and never will. I don't need to 'clear my name' because, frankly, I don't give a shit what people think about me anyway. And, more importantly, those who hurl abuse in my direction must have the freedom to do so – or there is no freedom for those who say nice things about me. I repeat, the freedom to say one thing is not freedom unless you have the freedom to say the opposite.
The freedom of one comes down to the freedom of all. That includes the freedom to be wrong, to talk utter bollocks, and to be a monumental prat. Without that freedom there is no freedom to be right, talk sense, or be intelligent. When one freedom is denied, so the other falls with it. As the scientist Wilhelm Reich said: '… the right to be wrong has to be maintained'.
