Is This Our America?

Is this our America?
One billion dollars a week while schools and hospitals close
Is this our America?
We pay for bombs while people here starve
Is this our America?
Geneva Conventions and the UN ignored
Is this our America?
Where is the hope, where is the light
Where are the brave, who is really free?
Our leader derides Israel for killing civilians
While we fill mass graves with those we intend to protect
This is NOT my America
My America is in history books filled with hope and acceptance
While we killed the natives and shackle the slaves
My America watches fake weddings while our soldiers kill children
This IS our America
We need to accept that WE have done this
We need to realize that we CAN stop this
This is still America and our leaders are failing us
This is still America and We the People are failing us
America of the people must be chosen by the people
This is still America
The world must be shown that we are still Americans
This is still America
I want to be proud of my country once again
This is OUR America
Please vote this November
Show the world who we really are
