United States of America, What Is It Today?
C. Taylor
We should be thinking in terms of business, small or large, where we, the people, are the only 'true' CEO's of this nationwide, multi-trillion dollar corporation. Even Abraham Lincoln recognized this fact when he said, "Democracy is 'government of, by and for the people.'" Now, knowing your position in this enormous endeavor, ask yourself how you would handle your business to keep it producing and functioning within the limits you'd like to see set; limits as to how your employees spend the money you provide for their use, limits as to their character and worth. Would you continue to employ a person who stole from your business on a regular basis? Would you continue to employ a person who has a history of absences on his employee record? Would you give raises to those incapable of producing up to the standards you've set, as their CEO? Would you promote someone who has demonstrated himself as incapable or who has demonstrated his inability to successfully accomplish his tasks or assignments, giving him a position of greater importance knowing full well his inability to fulfill this new position.
There is mutiny afoot within the borders of our nation and it's not the citizens of this nation who are usurping authority. It is the persons within the circles of government. They all seem oblivious to the facts that they work for our companies. They are our employees. We are NOT theirs. We do not work for them, although times of today betray that thought and might tell a different story, especially when you speak with citizens who are no longer aware of their constitutional rights or our nation's history, except how it's selectively taught from our school books. Government has been planning and implementing a 'hostile takeover' of our country for nearly as many years of my life as I can recall.
Most people today don't know the preamble to our constitution, yet it's something that 'back in the day' we memorized. To this day I remember those very important words, words that my forefathers agonized and pondered over until they had it just as perfectly penned onto paper as they could within their abilities. They also devoted the same amount of love of our government and devotion to perfect words when they wrote our Declaration of Independence and Constitution. These works are the very foundation of our nation, not necessarily our government of today, yet these works are seldom read or understood by it's citizens, it's populous, resulting in a nation ignorant to their individual rights or our national rights that are usurped, amended, or blatantly disregarded by today's politicians. John F. Kennedy stated on May 18, 1963 that "The ignorance of one voter in a democracy impairs the security of all."
When minimum wage was $1.00 per hour in 1960 and is presently situated at $5.15 per hour in 2006. That's an increase of 80.58% since 1960, which sounds good and looks good on paper. But the average cost of an automobile in 1960 was $3,500 and is presently situated over $25,000, an increase of 86%. The average cost of a house in 1960 was $16,500 and is averaged a little over $210,000, or houses have gone up 92% on the average. A gallon of gas in 1960 averaged $.31 per gallon compared to our 2006 average of $2.83 per gallon, an increase of 89%. A gallon of milk in 1960 averaged $.49 per gallon but in 2006 that same gallon cost you an average of $3.75 a gallon, an increase of 87%. A dozen eggs in 1960 averaged $.57 whereas in 2006 the average cost of a dozen eggs was $1.50 a dozen or an increase of 62%. Our national deficit/debt/budget in 1960 was $194,700,000,000 compared to $4,421,200,000,000 at the end of 2005. This is an increase of 96%. Population was at 180,671,158 in 1960 based on the US Census and was estimated to be 298,217,000 by 2006. That is an increase of 39%. According to these figures the only thing "American people" can truly afford is eggs (for wearing on our faces for allowing our elected officials to sell us such lies all these years).
This notable inflation is bureaucratic in its nature. We, the people, have not set the limits of spending except in the fact that we voted the politicians into their offices. They have abused the authority entrusted to them, from the top to the bottom, with but a possible few exceptions, and we have allowed it by not removing them from office. We would fire a worker who didn't perform within the guidelines of our businesses.
On September 10, 2001, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld stated that the Defense Department could not account for $2,300,000,000,000 [$2.3 trillion]. This enormous inability to reconcile records was overshadowed the next day by the bombing of the Twin Towers and the Pentagon, an act that according to President Bush constituted terrorism. That act of terrorism seemed to center on areas of our government that held the possible links to track the missing Defense Department monies.
Is terrorism ironic? It appears to be in this case. Most citizens have forgotten about the missing money in lieu of the attack on our soil. But one things citizens will never know for sure is who exactly was behind the attack. Terrorists from abroad or within? Just as they may never know with certainty who killed Kennedy, as those items are not for mere mortal citizens to know or understand. That's why the government justifies the keeping of secrets, it's for our own protection and well-being. Face it, if we knew too much we'd be expendable, so they are accurate in this facade. Our ignorance is mandatory if we are to safeguard our existence.
This ignorance is aided by the many pharmaceutical companies funded and endorsed by our government. Through pharmaceuticals and media propaganda we are easily brainwashed into a false sense of security and are blind and blissfully complacent to follow the masses, because the majority can never possibly be wrong, right? Aldous Huxley stated in 1959, years before pharmaceuticals became the 'in thing', "And it seems to me perfectly in the cards that there will be within the next generation or so a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude, and producing ... a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies, so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda, brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods." George W. Bush stated, "See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda." Repetition is a definite form of brainwashing
A form of brainwashing is the only explanation I can find to satisfy my curious mind about how we have elected the politicians we have in our previous elections. Take just the Presidential election, for which statistics are available just about everywhere you look. The average person has an IQ [intelligence quotient] of 100. Is the position of President of the United States, with all the power that position possesses, a position that should be filled with a person of average IQ or should someone with a more elevated IQ better suited for the position to govern intelligently.
The greatest significant decrease in the federal deficit was during the presidency of William J. Clinton whose IQ is 182. He reduced the deficit during each year of his presidency; 1993 - ($255,100,000,000)(Two hundred fifty-five billion one hundred million dollars deeper in debt); 1994 - ($203,200,000,000)(Two hundred three billion two hundred million dollars deeper in debt); 1995 - ($163,900,000,000)(One hundred sixty-three billion nine hundred million dollars deeper in debt); 1996 - ($107,400,000,000)(One hundred seven billion four hundred million dollars deeper in debt); 1997 - ($21,900,000,000)(Twenty-one billion nine hundred million dollars deeper in debt); 1998 - $69,300,000,000(Sixty-nine billion three hundred million dollars ahead); 1999 - $125,600,000,000(One hundred twenty-five billion six hundred million dollars ahead); 2000 - $236,200,000,000(Two hundred thirty-six billion two hundred million dollars ahead). The largest significant increase to the federal deficit was during the presidency of George W. Bush, whose IQ is reportedly 91. His impact during his term is: 2001 - $128,200,000,000(One hundred twenty-eight billion two hundred million dollars ahead); 2002 - ($157,800,000,000)(One hundred fifty-seven billion eight hundred million dollars deeper in debt); 2003 - ($377,600,000,000)(Three hundred seventy-seven billion six hundred million dollars deeper in debt); 2004 - ($412,800,000,000)(Four hundred twelve billion eight hundred million dollars deeper in debt); 2005 - ($318,300,000,000)(Three hundred eighteen billion three hundred million dollars deeper in debt) and it's still continuing.
The facts show that a higher IQ for president is good for America, no matter how we feel about the persons. Aldous Huxley stated, "Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored." We can't deny the facts regarding IQ's and the federal deficit. The three Presidents with the highest IQ's since 1960 are: 182 -William J. Clinton (D); 175 - James E. Carter (D); and 174 - John F. Kennedy (D). The three Presidents with the lowest IQ's since 1960 are: 91 - George W. Bush (R); 98 - George H.W. Bush (R); and 105 - Ronald Reagan (R). Is irony playing a role here as well. I couldn't help but notice that the Democrats held the higher IQ's and were better for the economy as a whole. Yet as a whole we, the people, the CEO's have elected more Republicans than Democrats to office since 1960. Are we conditioned and brainwashed into ignoring facts and statistics and turning our attention and loyalties to those individuals we're conditioned to by the various media agencies? Or is there more to our brainwashing than media and pharmaceuticals?
Now getting back to business. If you were the CEO of a corporation the size of America, and you are to a certain extent, would you allow your employees and their families and friends to participate in any contest for prizes for its actual customers? Most companies have rules regarding this, rules prohibiting employees and their relatives from participating in any contests with prizes involved. The same should hold true with our governmental employees. After all, if we have to be politically correct with our speech, shouldn't politicians be politically correct with their actions since actions speak louder than words.
Our country goes to war and our Vice-President's affiliate corporation gets a contract (prize). First of all, his affiliates should automatically be disqualified from bidding on or receiving any contracts, as should be the case with any scenario where the government needs to contract services. It needs to take bids outside the 'political circles', honestly extending the offers to the average citizens, the ones whose hard earned money keeps the government going and keeps padding the pockets of it's politicians in the form of wages and benefits. After all, the average household income is $46,000 per year and our highest official makes $400,000. That's eighty-eight percent (88%) higher than the average American earns. On April 19, 1906 Theodore Roosevelt said, "Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people. To destroy this invisible government, to befoul the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of the day." If we don't learn from history we're doomed to repeat it, and I for one am ready for a change. I don't need repetitious lessons in order to learn.
In October, 2002, George W. Bush declared war on "terror" and Osama bin Laden, and started with Iraq, a place where bin Laden "wasn't". Then the reason became the possibility of weapons of mass destruction, again without proof. The President of the United States of America declared war, yet according to our Constitution Article I, Section 8, only Congress can declare war. And since Congress neglected to do this, isn't the war against terror and the invasion of Iraq by President Bush unconstitutional and criminal? Aren't criminal acts punishable under the same Constitution under Article III, Section 3? If so, then why haven't our elected officials upheld this constitutional right on the behalf of the entire nation? Are the members of Congress acting treasonous as well?
Now again, as CEO's, we are neglecting our business if we do not insist that Congress go on record and declare war, backing our President, or they could take the other option left to them by the Constitution and remove the President from office since he so blatantly abused his power under that same Constitution by putting us in a war not backed by Congress. So, as American's, we can hardly blame the politicians if we, the CEO's allow them these freedoms without pulling in the reins on a government running wild.
All of this brings us full circle, back to the point of the Pentagon has trillions missing or unaccounted for. Where did this money disappear to? What projects were funded without our knowledge? The Freedom Information Act can only work if the politicians and government itself will adhere to the laws they have written. Nothing our government does should be kept secret from us, the people of this nation. When people all around the world have seen UFO's, or so they wholeheartedly believe, then why are any documents dealing with UFO's still kept from us under the guise of 'National Security'. If these 'things' don't really exist, as we've been told repeatedly by our government, then there would be no security risk involved. If these 'things' are showing themselves worldwide then there is nothing that should be deemed 'National Security'. We should be made aware of any advantages gained from them including but not being limited to technology.
We, the ones that ask questions but receive no answers, have been reduced to 'conspiracy theories'. We also have the ones who believe the truth lies somewhere between the 'conspiracy theories' and what the government publicly tells us, believing that the 'official' story is probably laden with misinformation. There are also those of us who wholeheartedly believe everything we are told and don't believe anything that's not part of the official recital. We are a nation divided making us, the people, the weakest link in our system. Divide and conquer has been at hand for many years. The government believes this military method is effective and now, surveying the America I love, I'm inclined to believe it's effective as well. A house divided shall not stand. We as a nation need to remember our place in the larger picture and stand on united fronts, fronts founded within our most precious treasures, our Declaration of Independence and our Constitution of the United States of America.
This writer is neither Republican nor Democrat, this writer is AMERICAN. This writer doesn't believe nor disbelieve the conspiracy theories or media input. This writer believes in the Constitution, what it stands for, and this writer's place in the picture. This writer believes in the right to govern this writer's government without hindrance or interference. John Jay (Member of the Convention that wrote the U.S. Constitution said, "The people who own the country ought to govern it." I strongly believe that we need to "pink-slip" every paid government official from the President on down to pages and clean out our "Company" through a peaceful march on Washington. Please wake up to these realities before it's too late and our Constitution and Declaration of Independence become meaningless pieces of paper history.
