Police Behaving Correctly: Re: No License and No Registration
John Wilson
Dear Fellow Australians,
Yesterday, I was stopped by the NSW Police on the Windsor Road, Kellyville. It was one of the situation where they have a car with a scanner on a tripod and further down the road a whole bunch of Police cars with a couple of Officers walking out with signs to pull over. This they did to me. A female Police Officer waved me to pull onto the shoulder of the road. She started off with, "Can I see your licence?". I said, "I don't have a license.". She went on to say that my car "came up as unregistered". I said, "I don't need a license and I don't need any registration to drive my car on public roads.". She shouted to her colleagues, "Hey, sergeant. Come over here and listen to this one!". They asked me to get out of my car and I said, "No." Then the sergeant and I went into a discussion about the law. He said he had 25 years experience and knew the law. I said he did not know real law and that he has been taught lies. The conversation continued and I ended up giving him one of my leaflets on "The Levels of Jurisdiction" and showing him one of my posters on "Know Your Rights". He said he could take me to the Police Station and finger-print me, etc., and that I could not drive me car, etc. ....to which I said, "That would be false arrest. Do you know what false arrest is? It is unlawful imprisonment. It is trespass.". They left the side of my car and went back to their own little group. The I got out of my car and went over to them to chat some more. The female wrote out a "COURT ATTENDANCE NOTICE" and explained what it was and where I should attend on 15 November. I said, "I most certainly will attend because in Court is where we defend our Rights.". I told the sergeant a little of my history and the fight for Democracy, with the occasional mention that I wanted to help them because they did not know the law and were being used. The female kept insisting that I could not drive my car...and I replied that "I can and I will drive my car". She said that, if I drove away, I would be getting more COURT ATTENDANCES...to which I said, "I look forward to getting them.". Then, after saying goodbye to the sargeant and the girl, went back to my car, hopped in and drove away, as they, and a couple of other Officers standing next to their cars, watched on. That was yesterday about 11:30 am. and I am still driving my car on public roads.
Yours sincerely,
John Wilson.
