A few prime examples? 

John F. Kennedy was murdered, and within a couple hours, Lee Harvey Oswald was identified as a suspect and the entire assassination plot was revealed to the public.

The Oklahoma City Bombing and within hours, Timothy McVeigh was found and determined to have been the bomber due to his hatred of the government for the Waco murders.

9-11 and the identification of 19 Saudi Hijackers, all within 4 hours, and their entire plan, including all of their preparations and who their main backer was in Bin Laden.

Amazing, our government has shown an alleged ineptitude on every subject it has touched.  The government has known about hundreds of trillions of dollars being counterfeited out of Wall Street with fake shares being sold into the markets for nearly 20 years.  In spite of the hundreds of thousands of complaints, they just can't seem to get a handle on it to identify who is doing what and how to stop it.  Osama Bin Laden was in a cave in Tora Bora for years and is alleged to still be alive.  They can spy on Americans, listen to all of their cell phone transmissions, digitally identify their voices, but they can not seem to locate one man walking around with a dialysis machine.  The US/Mexican border is a nightmare for all Americans, as unguarded, it allows millions of people to come into this nation and take away American jobs, at the same time, allowing unrestricted drugs in and even terrorists to come in.  Our government is inept in its' efforts to find energy independence(even though we have 50 times more oil here than in the middle east), it is inept as to managing everything from the welfare problem to health care, from figuring out that global warming is just another hoax to tax us on to keeping businesses in America so as to employ its' own citizens, and everything in between.

I find it just a little tad inconsistent that our government has proven itself totally inept in every area imaginable, and yet, it can figure out, from scratch, without advanced warning, the identity of super conspirators who pull off the biggest attacks in US history, all within a few hours of the events happening. 

"Out of Chaos Comes Order" is the famous battle cry of the elites.  Create a chaos and then, out of the ruins, bring in the solution that moves the society closer towards your objective.  Unfortunately, the objective of the elites in this nation and around the globe is a harsh system of socialism and elitism.
