Megyn Kelly Calls It Quits and Announces Her Resignation From Fox News Live On Air!

An American journalist on the Fox News Channel, a political commentator, and a former corporate defense attorney - but it turns out she is going to add a new career to that list after Megyn Kelly reveals she is leaving The Kelly File for good.
The fearless news anchor is once again shifting her focus on to new ventures. It has been made official, she is resigning from The Kelly File.
She has considered the move since 2010, as head anchor of America's Newsroom. Megyn Kelly told Dateline “it seemed like the right time… but you reach a point when you say to yourself, ‘do I want to keep doing this?’ There are other things on my plate that I want to do.”
The fiery news anchor stuck with it and on October 2013, she was given her own show, The Kelly File. At the time Megyn was quoted as saying “just when I thought I was out, they pulled me back in!”. Although she was honored to receive her own show, Megyn knew in her heart this is not what she wanted to be doing any longer.
After the brutal election coverage, it seems she has had enough. The announcement was made official - she is leaving the Fox News Network. But, there is a specific reason behind her departure..
“In 2010 I knew I wanted to do other things, but I didn’t know what t
hat exactly was. I felt a little lost and ended up sticking with Fox. But now I have a project that deserves my full attention and unfortunately that means I no longer have time for The Kelly File,” she explained.
