Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the conservative voice on ABC's daytime talk show "The View," will be moving into friendlier confines this fall, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Hasselbeck has signed on to replace Gretchen Carlson on Fox News Channel's morning show "Fox & Friends."

The only conservative on a panel including the likes of Joy Behar, Barbara Walters and Whoopi Goldberg, Hasselbeck will join new co-hosts Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade. Carlson will be getting her own show on Fox News Channel.

Behar is leaving "The View" as well, and Walters announced her retirement earlier this year.

"We have had ten wonderful years with Elisabeth and she will now be swimming in new waters," Walters said of Hasselbeck's move. "We will miss her and wish her everything good."

Roger Ailes, head of Fox News, added, "Elisabeth’s warm and engaging personality made her a star on The View. She has proven to be an excellent conversationalist and I am certain she will make a great addition to our already successful morning franchise."

"Whoa!! We heard the rumors and the rumblings before, and we guess a … "fair and balanced" news show like Fox & Friends is a perfect place for Elisabeth's particular points of view, but this still comes as a shock!!" wrote celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.
