Why CBS did not run the latest interview on Mexican gun smuggling last night

But as Mike Vanderboegh indicates, this is not the case.
According to sources Vanderboegh contacted, the story and the titillating interview with Gill is so explosive that CBS had intended to break it next week, but the allegations are so important that the news organization decided to go ahead and roll it out on its website before it airs.
CBS intends to funnel the story to its various local affiliates around the country and include it in its 'Up to the Minute' overnight broadcasts Sunday night through Monday morning.
This information is important to know, given that media attention to the scandal keeps growing. Fox News contributor and syndicated radio talk show host Laura Ingraham did an interview yesterday with Senator Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, during which the Senator blasted the Obama Administration for its continued stonewalling on the matter.
Grassley is seeking information from the Department of Justice on the gun smuggling scheme but has been met with complete resistance from Eric Holder and others within the department.

Meanwhile, an NBC News affiliate in Dallas-Ft. Worth broke a story concerning 4 individuals arrested by ATF agents in the area for making large purchases of firearms and smuggling them into Mexico. These individuals have been linked to the Mexican drug cartels. One of the weapons purchased by the four men was used in a shootout during which 8 people were killed.
So far there is no evidence that the four men are linked to the ATF scandal in which agents deliberately placed American guns into the hands of the Mexican drug cartels. But that issue has not yet been investigated.
