Oye Vey ! .. I just hate it when they do that !!
As I've watched the events in Egypt since Jan. 25, one thing has struck me time and again. Despite the multi billion dollar (pro-Israeli) media giants like Fox (Faux) News and CNN's attempts to spin this story one way or another they just keep getting their heads handed to them.
After all these years of media exclusivity, they apparently haven't yet figured out that 'the good old days' when they held a stranglehold on the people's sole source of information are over ! While they give lip service to the net, and alternative media sources, the truth is, after you scrape off all of the superficial glitz and techie looking formats, they're still acting like they still 'own it all'. Their approach is still the same as it was 20-30 years ago.
The simple formula .. Find one of their 'talking heads' with the $200 haircuts, and the $10,000 smile and plop them down in the 'event', with a mike, a camera man and the talking points (propaganda) and try to find a couple of 'locals' to agree with them.
After awhile you can readily recognize this attempt to spin by their constant interrupting if (God Forbid) the interviewee starts to deviate and the use of the phrases which usually begins with .. "Yeah but don't you think .. (agree) (believe) .. fill in the blanks ! It's a dead give-away. Just once in my life I'd like to hear someone hollar .. "If that's what I thought, that's what I would have said, ya freakin moron!" But alas .. most blue collar types are far too polite to do that.
I will concede at this point (though I am ashamed of it) that as I watched Anderson Cooper (poor little rich 'boy' Vanderbilt) getting smacked around and running for his life, that I was sitting there smiling. The same with Katie Couric. It was a 'hoot' watching that arrogant, condescending attitude of hers change after the crowds surrounded her while she was waving her hand dismissively and repeating 'Calm down, calm down !' You could see her face turn visibly from confident arrogance to stark terror as they screamed at her. I understand she made a beeline for the airport and got the hell out of Dodge. It appears that the protestors weren't all that impressed. I guess they watch Al Jazeera, (I do) or actually read !
Despite the falling ratings of the televised news media, and the decreasing readership of the Jewish dominated MSM newspapers all over the world, it appears that somehow they are still stuck in the 'twilight zone' without a game plan for the new media, and that's a good thing for us.
As millions of people migrate to the net to find their information, the hatred spewed by the neo-cons on Faux News and the fear dished out on CNN are playing to an increasingly smaller audience as more and more folks realize that they've been lied to for years and at the rate they are deserting, pretty soon the only ones left will be the 'zoned out' Americans. Face it, with Mom and Dad working 2 jobs trying to survive, and taking uppers, downers, and anti-depressants in an attempt to cope with the stress, they couldn't think if they tried !
All over the world, folks are waking up, they are finding the facts, they are digging out the truth, they are networking and talking to each other. All over the world, they are rising up and saying no more of this crap.
No more can you pit the Christians against the Muslims (and visa versa)
We've see Muslims protecting the Christians in their Churchs.
We've seen Christians forming cordons around praying Muslims to protect them from attacks.
No more phony 'devide and conquer' tactics will work from the Media.
Those days are over.
