It's time to take a stand against the pervasive disinformation and manipulation network known as Fox News!
The danger of Fox's work is clear. Not only is its portrayal of national and world events skewed and sometimes even fictitious, recently, its impact has become violent. In July, a heavily armed man started a gun fight with police after he was pulled over on his way to kill people at the Tides Foundation[1] - a social-justice-oriented nonprofit that was little known until Glenn Beck repeatedly demonized it, claiming it was the center of a great conspiracy.[2] Last year, Kansas doctor George Tiller was gunned down while at church[3] after Bill O'Reilly called him a Nazi and a "baby killer," and warned of "Judgment Day."[4]
Fox News has been the loudest cheerleader for more wars in the Middle East, bashed unions in the lead up to Labor Day[5] and has aided and abetted environmental destruction. It's time to take a stand.
Join us and our friends at Color of Change in a nationwide attempt to turn off Fox News in our homes and in our communities.
With thousands of signatures to back them up, Color of Change members will visit local businesses, train stations, airports and other public spaces that tune their TVs to Fox. They'll explain how divisive and dangerous the network is, and ask them to turn Fox off.
