Jimstonefreelance.com has begun migrating to Iceland as Jimstonefreelance.is
Due to obvious tampering with this web site after the FCC ruling, Jimstonefreelance.com is now in the process of migrating to Iceland as Jimstonefreelance.is. The new domain and servers are physically registered in, and located in Iceland. This web site will remain in the .com location until the migration is complete. After that, redirects will be put in to route visitors to Iceland. THIS WAS MADE POSSIBLE BY THE GENEROUS DONATIONS LISTED BELOW. THE BASICS ARE COMPLETE BUT THERE WILL PROBABLY BE MORE EXPENSES INVOLVED IN THIS. I HAVE TO PLAY WITH THE NEW SERVER TO SEE WHAT IS UP AND WHAT MORE WILL BE NEEDED. I HOPE TO HAVE SOMETHING BASIC RUNNING IN ICELAND WITHIN THE NEXT TWO DAYS AND BELIEVE I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR EVERYTHING THAT WILL MAKE THIS POSSIBLE.
I have allocated 1.5 terabytes of bandwidth for this on my own server which has a static IP that will be able to circumvent FCC attacks on DNS only web sites and the physical location in Icleland along with the .is designation puts it out of their reach anyway. I can increase the bandwidth if needed, but from past stats on this site, 1.5 terabytes ought to do it. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO DONATED AND MADE THIS POSSIBLE, THIS CLEARLY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE WITHOUT THE DONATIONS LOGGED BELOW.
I kept this move secret until it was too late to stop it for obvious reasons. This could not have happened without the help from those who donated, and the fact enough came in without asking for this specific purpose helped a lot and made it possible for me to do this secretly. To my readers, THANK YOU.
This is obviously an expensive month for this web site, and despite receiving decent donations already, more help would make this transition go smoother. I do not like to beg and only ask for what is needed. I have a hunch this will only go smoothly with the purchase of additional software to install on the server, which this time around actually is a real one that needs extra attention beyond what I have been running on so far. Hostmonster was great for the past 8 years, this move is NOT THEIR FAULT.
