This is Marc Ash, the founder of Truthout. I've left Truthout, and started a new site, Reader Supported News (RSN): http://www.readersupportednews.org. Please stop by and make a bookmark. We'd be honored to have you with us.
A lot of people have asked what happened at Truthout? We're still sorting that out, and it may take some time. However, in the meantime there is important work to be done.
Congress has been moved by Americans to grudgingly give serious consideration to public health care. Expanding the health care dialog is urgent, as progress is now possible.
The U.S. is still fighting two wars, and we suffer immeasurably from them. A renewed determination to confront violence committed in our name is just as important now as it was when George W. Bush launched these conflicts.
The
earth's environment continues in crisis, and we are standing on the brink of global action to confront that.
There is much to do, and we intend to jump right in.
