Rabbi Boruch Dov Lesches is the Rabbinical advisor and consultant for the NFC Apple K kosher certification program.
Rabbi Boruch Dov Lesches was born in Tel Aviv .Following his studies at Yeshivas Kol Torah, under the leadership of the illustrious Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Aurbach Z”TL, Rabbi Lesches studied at the main Lubavitch Yeshiva “770″ where he was awarded Smicha and advanced Smicha of Dayanus from the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Yisroel Piekarski.
Rabbi Lesches directed the Sydney Beis Din and established the country’s first Shechita and Kashrus system.
When the Yeshiva Gedolah of Sydney was established in 1986 Rabbi Lesches served as its Rosh Yeshiva and continued to serve in that capacity for the next 20 years. In addition, Rabbi Lesches served as the Rabbi of the Australian capital for 25 years.
Prior to Rosh Hashana of 2006 Rabbi Lesches moved to Monsey, New York to assume the position of Rabbi of K’hal Tzemach Tzedek Lubavitch of Monsey, NY.
