Hello Patrick and Anne.  After reading the article about the vets killing themselves daily, it made me so sad and I began to think about my own dad, who was a WW11 Vet. He went home in 1972 at the early age of 42 after an oil field accident.

We have a 'pouch' of dads with an american flag in it that was issued to the soldiers.  It has 48 stars on it and daddy wrote on his flag:

"Sgt. Edmon D. Morris 38439535, 5th Army 42 Inf. (Hells) Div. 5th Co, Dog "D."  My Buddy S/Sgt. Chester A Reevs Asn 39849692.  Tougher Than A Boot 10 Times As Tall, Will Stay With You Till Hell Freezes over. "

We took a copy of the flag and dad's discharge papers to the Commander of the American Legion in our town and asked him to help us but have not heard back from him.  We would so like to contact Chester Reevs and his family to share with them how much he was respected by my dad.

Anything you can do to help will be greatly appreciated.

In love and light,
