INTRODUCTION

The mainstream media’s defense of the butchers of Planned Parenthood hit a new low Tuesday, when a CNN interviewer asked the man behind the undercover videos exposing the group if he is a “violent extremist.”

“New Day” host Alisyn Camerota’s interview with David Daleiden of the Center for Medical Progress initially focused on Monday night’s failure in the Senate to defund Planned Parenthood and the money Daleiden’s videos clearly show Planned Parenthood raking in from the sale of aborted fetuses.

But midway through, she veered right into the abortion industry’s talking points.

“Your critics – critics of your organization I should say– say that you’re not journalists as you purport to be on your website, but rather you’re violent extremists,” Camerota said. “Do you have any ties to Operation Rescue?”

“First, number one, I’m not a violent person and I never have been and I never will be,” Daleiden said, trying to answer the question. “Troy Newman is one of the board members for the Center for Medical Progress…”

And Camerata cut him off.

“And Troy Newman is the president of Operation Rescue,” Camerota cut in. “Operation Rescue does have a history of threatening violence against clinics.”

“I don’t think that’s true at all,” Daleiden answered. “You’d have to talk to Troy about the full history of Operation Rescue and some of those details. But I don’t think that’s a fair characterization at all.”

It’s not a fair characterization, since Camerota was either intentionally or accidentally conflating the two groups Operation Rescue has split into in a dispute over leadership. It’s also irrelevant to the videos Daleiden’s group is presenting to America – and the butchery that they prove.

There is no violence in the undercover video collection. There’s not even a threat of violence. Just abortion doctors haggling about the prices of the body parts of children who are dismembered in their mother’s womb.

That’s what Daleiden tried to emphasize during the distorted interview.

The videos, he said, are to “expose to the public the reality of how Planned Parenthood conducts its fetal tissue sales.”

All the interference in the world by the mainstream media isn’t going to change that. --RR
