Homeopathic Remedies for Radiation Therapy & Nuclear Crisis

    Posted on April 6, 2011

    https://littlemountainhomeopathy.wordpress.com/2011/04/06/homeopathic-remedies-for-radiation/

All of the remedies listed below are powerful remedies that should only taken under the supervision of a professional classical homeopath.

    Homeopathic Remedies for Radiation Therapy

Cadmium Sulphuricum: This is the leading remedy for the side effects of radiation therapy. There is a lot of exhaustion, prostration and icy coldness. There is nausea and vomiting, anorexia, weight loss, and hair loss.

Sol: Hair loss and emaciation. Try this remedy if Cadmium Sulphuricum seems indicated but has no effect.

Radium Bromatum: Use for burned skin after radiation therapy.

X-Ray: Another common remedy for burns caused by radiation therapy.

Topical Aloe Vera: For radiation burns, apply aloe vera directly from the leaf onto the wound. Calendula cream is also effective for topical treatment for radiation burns.

Dosage: Give 2 doses of the indicated remedy, one at 4 hours and one at 2 hours before the radiation therapy. Give one dose immediately after the radiation therapy and then give one at 2 hours and one at 4 hours after. On the two days following the radiation therapy give 3 doses of the indicated remedy approximately 6 hours apart. Use a 30C potency (strength) of the indicated remedy.

Homeopathic Remedies for a Nuclear Crisis & Radioactive Fallout

First, try to determine what radioactive substances you are dealing with. The recommendations below are for people who are in close vicinity to a nuclear disaster. Homeopathic experts Ravi Roy and Carol Lage-Roy helped thousands of people after the Chernobyl disaster. Homeopath Susan Curtis also gives recommendations in her book “Surviving with Natural Remedies.” For the current disaster in Fukushima, Curtis and the Roys recommend the following protocol:

Homeopathic Remedies For Protection (Prophylaxis) from Radiation

Take a combination of remedies specific to the radioactive particles that one is exposed to. For the crisis in Fukushima, take Radium Bromatum, Plutonium Nitricum, Strontium Carbonicum and Caesium Muriaticum. For people with weak thyroids (e.g. Hashimotos), use Radium Iodatum instead of Radium Bromatum. Order a custom made combination remedy to be made up from all four indicated remedies from the homeopathic pharmacy.

Potency: Use a 30C potency (strength) of the indicated remedy.

Dosage for General Protection: Take one dose once per week of the homeopathic combination remedy (e.g. Radium/Plutonium Nitricum/Strontium Carbonicum/Caesium Muriaticum). Repeat for several weeks until danger of exposure has passed.

Dosage During Danger of Exposure: The combination remedy (Radium/Plutonium/Strontium/Caesium) can be taken as often as twice daily. The greater the danger, the more protection the body needs.

    Homeopathic Protection from Radioactive Iodine

Kali Iodatum 3X should be taken during exposure to radioiodine. 1 dose should be taken 3 times per day. This method of protection should be considered for those who are in danger of heavy exposure to radioiodine and have no access to Potassium Iodide tablets. It is also the preferred method for those who have minimal exposure to radioactive iodine but who would still like protection (e.g. people in the United States and Canada). Kelp tablets and sea vegetables also protect the thyroid from radioiodine, and can be consumed instead of or along with kali iodatum 3X.

    Treatment of Acute Radiation Poisoning

Dr. Grimmer at the height of the cold war recommended carrying Arnica 30C and Phosphorus 30C.

Give Arnica for the immediate effects such as shock and bruising. Wait a half hour then give a dose of Phosphorus. Then follow up with a regular dose of one of the following indicated remedies:

Arsenicum: Nausea, retching and vomiting after eating and drinking. Utter prostration. Extremely anxious and fearful. Restless.

Nux Vomica: Violent vomiting. Intense nausea slightly relieved after vomiting.

Phosphorus: high fever with much vomiting. It is a burning heat as if the internal body is being burnt. Desire for very cold drinks in large quantities. Empty feeling in the stomach with nausea. Anxious and melancholic.

Rhus Venenata: extreme itching, especially if large blisters form.

Refer to the beginning of the article, “Homeopathic Remedies for Radiation Therapy,” as these remedies may also be indicated for acute radiation sickness.

Dosage: Give a 30C potency (strength) of the indicated remedy 2-3 times per day.

Homoeopathic Protection and Treatment of Radioactivity

by Ravi Roy & Carola Lage-Roy

    http://www.lage-roy.de/home.html?L=1

In countries further away from Japan there is no urgent need to act. Nevertheless a certain amount of preparation is advisable at the moment – in a sense, preparation has been always been necessary due to the very existence of nuclear reactors. Right from the very beginning, radioactive emissions from reactors have been and remain a common affair, but this has never been openly publicized. For political reasons, knowledge about the extent of such emissions has been withheld from the public. Therefore one can hardly ever know when one is inadvertently being exposed to substantial amounts of radioactivity.

After the Chernobyl disaster we immediately got down to writing a homoeopathic guide about dealing with radioactivity (it was published in German: Homöopathischer Ratgeber – Radioaktivität). The book helped many thousands of people to protect themselves and many got rid of their acute and chronic poisoning symptoms in very short time. Since then we have had 25 further years of experience in treating people with radioactive poisoning symptoms.

    Protection for the present case

    Remedies

Radium bromatum and Plutonium are recommended

Radium iodide instead of Radium bromatum for those with weak thyroids, with Hashimoto etc.

    Potency

The best potency for most people is the 1m (one thousand).

For strong and healthy persons the 10m (ten thousand) is recommended.

For weaker and ill persons and very small children the 200.

For the gravely sick the 30.

    When is protection possible?

At any time and even parallel to an ongoing homoeopathic treatment.

Never during an aggravation and its aftermath, during a healing reaction or a detrimental reaction. (For more detailed information about the rules regarding protection see our book, Homeopathic Guide for Travellers, North Atlantic Books, Berkeley, California).

    Dosage

The general dosage is two pills once a week, in alternation– Radium bromatum and Plutonium. This continues for eight weeks, i.e. four doses of each remedy. The procedure can be repeated once a year or more often if necessary.

For those who are weaker, ill or gravely sick: one dose every two weeks in alternation and only three doses per remedy. The time period is then extended to three months.

    Dosage during danger of exposure

The dosage during exposure is determined by the serverity of the case and can be as often as twice daily in alternation. The greater the danger, the more protection the body needs.

    Treatment of acute radioactive poisoning

The following is a short account of the homoeopathic possibilities:

Radium bromatum or, as an alternative, Radium iodatum is the most important remedy for acute symptoms of radioactive poisoning. The person involved is extremely depressed and has no energy to do anything. He or she has no desire to get out of bed and can hardly do so.

Plutonium will be of great importance in Japan. It has a strong action on the lungs, which feel very much exerted. A dry, hard cough can appear. There is much pressure on the throat and also a kind of inimical pressing in the head and jaws.

Kali iodide will be needed every time new radioactive emissions take place and radioactive iodine is released. It is given in the 3x potency three times a day one tablet or five drops in a little water. Pregnant women and weakened persons may even need up to six doses per day. If 3x is not available 4x or even 6x will do.

Strontia carbonica has a very weakening, tormenting and burning diarrhoea.

Caesium has a very deep depression. In a sense all radioactive remedies have depression, but in the case of Caesium it is as if one is bound down by it. Muscle pains, especially back pains which make movement very difficult.

Phosphorus may be needed as an adjunct to radium bromatum if it does not fully control the fever and vomiting. Give it on its own if radium bromatum has had little effect. Phosphorus has high fever with much vomiting. It is a burning heat as if the internal body is being burnt. Desire for very cold drinks in large quantities.

Rhus venenata has extreme itching, especially if large blisters form. Important if radium bromatum does not help with the itching.

    Food and Diet

Eat high quality, nutritious whole foods.

Consume greater quantities of vegetables and fruits.

Sprouts and wheat grass juice are very helpful.

A little red wine (about 50 ml once or twice a day) helps to eliminate radioactive substances from the body.

For very sick persons with high fever and much vomiting or diarrhoea it is advisable to eat nutritious soups and gruels, especially with the use of barley or oat sprouts or flakes. A small quantity of barley malt may also be used.

Do not use iodized salt! Use sea-salt or rock salt.

    Homeopathic Chemo and Radiation treatment

    Protocol for Administering Homeopathic Remedies

in cases of side-effects from chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy

    A.H. L. Holdijk – Holistic Health Consultant

The following guidelines are for anyone administering homeopathic remedies to patients for acute problems resulting from the administration of chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy.

    Principles:

    • homeopathic remedies are normally prescribed by a practitioner who individualizes the

prescription according to the state of the patient.

    • however, in acute cases, a standard therapeutic prescription may be attempted as clinical experience has shown that many remedies work in over 50% of all cases.

    • the remedies are absolutely non-toxic, have no side-effects, do not interact chemically with any other medicines. In an acute case they either work, or do not, but they will not harm.

    • as long as a remedy works, it can be prescribed as often as needed, ie the patient will tell you s/he is getting worse and then the remedy can be repeated. If a remedy does not work after 3-4 doses, you may assume it has not worked.

    • in severe acute cases remedies can be administered every 5 minutes. If there is no relief of symptoms, switch to another remedy. If there is some relief continue prescribing as needed.

    • the normal protocol for prescribing is to give two doses (as described below) before chemo and/or radiation and 3 doses per day for two days after, but if the patient gets worse at any time and needs another dose, by all means give it.

    Giving the remedy

    • put three drops of the remedy in distilled water (about 5-10 ml – the amount really makes little difference) in a sterile paper cup and have the patient take as much of the liquid as they want to (even wetting the mouth with the liquid is enough for the remedy to be absorbed). This constitutes one dose.

    • patients should ideally not have anything in their mouth, ie food or drink (except water) either ten minutes before or after the dose is administered.

Procedure for giving the remedies to a patient before and after chemo or radiation therapy

    • give two doses of the remedy (e.g Cadmium Sulph 30c) , one at 4 hours and one at 2 hours before the chemo. Give one dose immediately after the chemo and then give one at 2 hours and one at 4 hours after the chemo.

    • on the two days following the chemo give 3 doses of the remedy (e.g.Cadm Sulph approximately 6 hours apart

    • if the remedy chosen shows no effect whatsoever, then the following remedies should be administered in 3 doses every 15 minutes (in acute cases). If there is an effect, the remedy can be administered on demand. If there is no effect, then the sequence of remedies should be continued. The remedy sequence in the chemotherapy section for

example, that may be tried after Cadm Sulph 30c should be: Nux Vom, Ipecacuanha, Arsenicum, , Phos. (all in 30c potency)

Remedies for radiation therapy and their indications

    Cadmium Sulph

    • is the leading remedy indicated for the side-effects of chemotherapy and radiation

    • extreme exhaustion and prostration, icy coldness

    • nausea and vomiting, anorexia, loss of hair, weight loss

    Sol

    • hair falling, emaciation

    • if Cadmium Sulphuricum doesn’t work

    Radium Bromatum

    • for skin reactions, burning after radiation therapy

    X-ray (homoeopathic)

    • for skin reactions, burning after radiation therapy

    Aloe Vera

    • for radiation burns Aloe Vera (sabbar cactus) obtained directly from the leaf directly on

the wound has been shown to very effective.

Remedies for chemotherapy and their indications

    Cadmium Sulph

    • is the leading remedy indicated for the side-effects of chemotherapy and radiation

    • extreme exhaustion and prostration, icy coldness

    • nausea and vomiting, anorexia, loss of hair, weight loss

    Ipecacuanha

    • horrible nausea

    • total anorexia, can’t eat anything for days after chemo

    • mention or thought of food makes them gag

    • vomiting and diarrhea, purging

    Arsenicum album

    • diarrhea with extreme weakness

    • very cold

    • asks for drinks and sips them in small sips

    Nux Vomica

    • the vomiting is stronger (in Ipecac the nausea is very strong)

    Phosphorus

    • anemia remedy

    • liver poisoning

    • tendency to bruise and bleed after vomiting

•nausea and vomiting which is relieved by cold drinks, so they ask for cold drinks

    after chemo

N.B. This is a simplified list so that you can get some clinical feedback on the effect of the remedies. We have a larger range of remedies but these need the supervision of an experienced and trained homeopath to give the maximum effectiveness.
