situation with Michael Forrest - The Rife unit manufacturer who was put in jail for selling Rife devices.

Earlier this year, we put out a number of messages about his case and requested people to donate money. We collected nearly $4975 through members of the various health groups and the Rife industry has put up a few thousand dollars on top. It is particually important to support this case to prevent further companies being attacked in a similar way.

We have been quiet about this case recently on legal advice.

Current Situation:

Michael has signed a plea agreement that includes recommendations on:

Restitution amount

Jail time

Probationary period.

These will be up to the sentencing judge and based on how good the evidence is supporting his case to show he did not have any intent to defraud. It is possible he may get time served and be let out, or any variation up to (but most likely not exceeding) $250,000, + 3 years in jail, +1 year probation.

The sentencing hearing is now scheduled for January 10th. Due the a scheduling conflict, the time has been moved from December 8th 2005.

Strategies/supporting help: A group of wonderful people have been volunteering their time to defend the devices Michael made and sold. Here are some of the things that have been happening:

Dr. Steven Haltiwanger, (an educated professional with degrees in psychiatry, neurology, medicine, chemistry and pathology, professional memberships, awards, publications, academic appointments, medical licenses, and an impressive work history that spans 34 years. http://p2.hostingprod.com/@worldwidescam.com/cvhalti.htm) wrote a 10 page summary with 400+ pages references which includes patents, research material, and FDA approved existing similar devices. He had agreed to serve as expert testimony, but was going to be difficult to schedule (BUSY man!) so agreed to look at what devices Michael was making and selling, what he claimed the output was, and what he claimed they would do. This is a really terrific write up and many thanks go to him!!!!

One group member donated quite a bit of his own money (in addition to the $5,000 the RifeForum fund) out of his own pocket, has been the coordinator of all the several conference calls, paid $600 for a "Black Box" and Magnetic Multi-Pulser" to be tested by an independent electronics firm (to verify they output what Michael claimed they did - we wanted one of each of Michael's devices, but only were able to locate these two), paid a super co-council several thousand dollars for his expert help, and was there to bounce ideas off and helped throughout all these many months.

A Chiropractor who has been involved in the creation and use of electrotherapeutic instruments wrote a brief paper supporting the devices. It outlines positive physiological effects and details similar FDA approved devices for several of Michael's products, including pulsed magnetic, pulsed electrical, and electromagnetic. This says it best: "The author has reviewed the electrical operation of all the devices sold by Mr. Forrest. Their electrical ouputs are commensurate with well known existing therapeutic devices and will have physiologic effects."

Several manufactures of the types of devices Michael made and sold donated $1,000 to $2,000 each to pay Tim Bolen a fraction of what his time was worth.

One group member taped all the tele-conference calls, supplied a server where they and many other of Michael's documents are stored, and reimbursed fellow group members for expenses from the donation fund.

One group member has made website changes for Michael on one of his websites and mailed him money out of his own pocket several times.

One group member has gotten test results for electrical evaluation of the RIFE Global Wellness Instrument.

Several very famous alternative health therapy people have offered invaluable suggestions on the case.

Michael says his public defender has about 20 testimonials, but NONE for his Black Box. If any of you purchased one of these and it helped you, consider writing a testimonial (fully identify yourself - name/address/phone number/e-mail, sign it, make 2 copies) and send the original to Michael's Attorney (Brian Mullins, Federal Defender Services of Wisconsin, Inc. 517 E. Wisconsin Avenue, Suite 182, Milwaukee, WI 53202) and a copy to Michael right away . It must be in their hands by November 21st to do any good.

About the donations:

Almost $5,000 was donated to the Peter Walker rifeforum website for Michael. This has been a real blessing! What have we used it for? We sent him money to help regulate his hypoglycemia, mailed him books he requested to help with his defense, paid for expenses including stamps, phone calls, and printer ink. Paid costs towards his legal fees and various other items. That money really helped to cover the expenses involved in this case.

We could very much use more money to help cover the following costs:

$1,500 - a great attorney's review of Michael's website and consultation several times

$1,500 - for a medical doctor to write up a good defense of Michael's devices

$600 - to pay for electronical testing of Michael's 2 devices we obtained

About Michael:

He says he has gotten re-infected with CFIDS and is currently suffering with low grade fevers, arthritic-like pains, headaches, and other symptoms. He also has hypoglycemia and is allergic to a lot of the food they serve so is struggling with that. Recently he had a painful cavity problem, and had to endure that for 2-3 months before it was taken care of. Mentally he just can't stand being in the detention center, and has a huge craving to get out.

About the Rife Forum

The fund was organized by the Rife Forum which itself suffered an attack by a Turkish Hacker. Work is nearly complete to restore the message contents, that were mirrored on a Yahoogroup, and it should reopen again in late November with a new more powerful engine and improved security. www.rifeforum.com
