Greasy potato pom-poms, mystery meat, and overprocessed,starchy, salty foods are common in school lunch programs across the US. Labor Day thousands of groups across the nation staged events that were somewhere between a pot-luck picnic and a protest to launch a campaign to improve the federally subsidized school lunch programs.
