An Iranian woman has died of MERS, the deadly respiratory disease originating in Saudi Arabia, an official says.

The woman, one of the two confirmed cases of the often-fatal pneumonia, died in the southeastern province of Kerman on Thursday, said Mohammad Mahdi Gouya, the director general for communicable diseases at the Iranian Health Ministry’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

“The patient unfortunately passed away despite all efforts by the medical staff to [rescue] the patient infected with the Corona virus,” he said.

He said that the 53-year-old woman, who suffered from high blood pressure, had severe respiratory problems when she referred to a clinic, adding that her immune system could not fight the virus as she already had several chronic diseases.

Gouya, however, said the second patient confirmed to have contracted the illness is in good condition and has been discharged from hospital.

He also dismissed reports that nine other people are confirmed to have caught the disease, saying that the public will be informed of new cases of the often-lethal disease once any suspected cases are tested positive.

The official had said on Monday that Iran had dispatched trained medical teams to Saudi Arabia, where they closely observe the suspected MERS cases among Iranian Hajj pilgrims, adding that necessary arrangements had also been made for the Iranian pilgrims to undergo medical check-ups after they return home.

MERS first emerged in Saudi Arabia in 2012. The disease is part of the coronavirus family of viruses, which includes the common cold and SARS. It can cause symptoms including fever, breathing problems, pneumonia and kidney failure.

The World Health Organization said Wednesday that it had documented 636 laboratory-confirmed cases of MERS worldwide, including 193 deaths.

Notice once again no mention of the name of the being who died or the being who has done well. This even occurs in the western media too which shows me that this is most like a race-specific bioweapon against the Arab population by Israel.
