Just this moment I found a link to a patent for a "Genetically Engineered Swine Influenza Virus and Uses Thereof" on the website of the US Patent & Trademark Office. They (MOUNT SINAI SCHOOL OF MEDICINE OF NEW YORK UNIVERSITY, ST. JUDE CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL, THE UNITED STATED OF AMERICA AS REPRESENTED BY THE SECRETARY OF AGRICULTURE) engineered a virus which they deemed fit for vaccination and filed the patent application on June 1, 2005. As far as I understand the patent was granted in January 2009. Quite timely overall. I don´t know if this link is useful to publish on your website.
