Inspector General Report Proves McCabe was a Liar

Andrew McCabe vehemently defended the Steele Dossier and the FBI during the Russia Investigation but the IG report has crumbled his defenses.

According to The Daily Caller: Andrew McCabe hyped Christopher Steele and the infamous dossier in an October interview, saying the FBI was unable to disprove much of the information in the salacious document, and that the bureau had relied on the ex-British spy’s information in the past for use in criminal indictments and search warrants.

“There was a lot of information that we could not disprove. There was a fair amount of information that we knew was accurate, but there are always questions with respect to timing,” McCabe told journalist Carl Bernstein at an event Oct. 3.

But McCabe left out the full story about Steele, the dossier, and the FBI’s investigation of the report — one that was detailed extensively in the Justice Department inspector general’s report released Dec. 9.

The report said, contrary to McCabe’s claims, that the FBI was unable to corroborate any of Steele’s specific allegations about Donald Trump or members of his campaign, including Carter Page, who was the subject of FBI surveillance that was based heavily on the dossier.

McCabe also claimed that the FBI relied on the Steele Dossier in other investigations to secure warrants but the IG report proved this claim to be false.
