Obamacare will cause millions of Americans to lose their health insurance

(NaturalNews) Much of the attention lately concerning Obamacare has been focused on the complete failure of the government website to operate as promised, a failure that has prevented virtually everyone who has thus far tried from actually signing up through it. But according to House Speaker John Boehner, a much bigger and more serious problem is Obamacare itself, which he predicts will eventually result in more Americans losing their existing healthcare coverage than the number that will eventually sign up for the program, assuming the website ever actually becomes operational.

During a recent press conference, Boehner tried to refocus the national conversation on Obamacare to the legislation itself, rather than the broken website, reminding the public that the legislation's full enactment will be disastrous for the millions of Americans who currently have healthcare coverage that does not qualify under Obamacare's terms. For these folks, Obamacare will result in them losing their existing coverage, which means they will be forced to either sign up on their state's healthcare exchange for more expensive coverage or else pay the so-called "tax" for non-compliance.

A recent Kaiser Health News report confirms Boehner's predictions, explaining that hundreds of thousands of working Americans have already received notices from their employers that their insurers are canceling their policies. According to the report, some 300,000 previously insured individuals under Florida Blue and 160,000 under Kaiser Permanente in California have lost their coverage -- and millions more people are set to lose their coverage in the coming months.

"When you begin to look at these hundreds of thousands of people, I think what you're going to see at the end of October are more Americans are going to lose their health insurance than are going to sign up at these exchanges," explained Boehner to reporters. "This is a very serious problem, it's affecting our economy, and it's affecting the ability of the American people to find the jobs that will help them take care of themselves and their families."

Obamacare will eliminate freedom of choice in healthcare, including within the natural health community

Though a Republican, Boehner's statements are actually non-partisan in terms of how they are playing out in reality. Hundreds of thousands of people are, indeed, losing their existing healthcare coverage as a result of Obamacare, and many of these people will be forced to purchase more expensive coverage. And many uninsured individuals, including those in the natural health community who may not even use conventional medicine because they adhere to natural, nutrition-based preventive medicine instead, will be forced to sign up for an expensive healthcare plan that will directly contradict their core beliefs about health.

These are important points to remember, as Obamacare is not simply a "political" issue to be debated from opposing sides like one would root for his favorite football team at a sporting event. Obamacare's enactment will affect every person's ability to make personal healthcare choices, including those who choose to live by non-standard, alternative methods, which will most assuredly not be covered under Obamacare.

Additionally, anyone who does not have conventional coverage will be forced to purchase it under duress as part of Obamacare's individual mandate, which for many people will mean shelling out scarce cash to the government that would otherwise be used to purchase "superfoods" and nutritional supplements.

"Because the Obama administration's regulations on grandfathering existing plans were so stringent, about 85 percent of those, 16 million, are not grandfathered and must comply with Obamacare at their next renewal," adds health policy expert Bob Laszewski, as quoted by WND.com. "Most of these will be seeing some pretty big rate increases."
