Today, our nation stands in the crossroads. Will we preserve freedom and virtue or will our nation turn to brutally enforcing the LGBT agenda. This agenda always has been clear about their goal of destroying the church.

 

In 1987, Rep. William E. Dannemeyer quoted what is commonly known as the Homosexual Manifesto. Dannemeyer warned that the homosexual dream was to amend the 1964 Civil Rights Act to include sexual perversity. Thirty-two years later their dream is closer to reality. The Manifesto begins, “This essay is…an eruption of inner rage, on how the oppressed desperately dream of being the oppressor.”

 

While most of the essay is not what I want to repeat, I feel it is important to understand their goals. Author Michael Swift states:

 

“Your sons shall become our minions and do our bidding...If you dare to cry … queer at us. We will stab you in your cowardly hearts ... All churches who condemn us will be closed. Our only gods are handsome young men. We adhere to a cult...

 

We posted the entire document at LCAction.org/HR5. LGBT strategists know they are fighting to shut down every authentic church, and every voice that speaks less than praise for their poor choices. It is time to wake up our nation. We must preserve our freedom of speech on this and every topic in America. I am hoping that right now you will consider partnering with Liberty Counsel Action with a donation of 25, 50, or 100 dollars to help make our voices heard on this critical battlefront.

 

 

In a chilling prediction from decades ago, Rep. Dannemeyer described this terrible legislation during his own congressional testimony:

 

“In fact, the homosexual American dream would be to amend the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to include sexual prefer­ences to the list of nondiscriminatory charac­teristics such as race, creed and color. But Mr. Speaker, those Americans who be­lieve in the notion of ‘live and let live,’ as it applies here, should be aware of the militant nature of the homosexual movement.”

 

Their dream of yesterday has become today’s nightmare. The mis-named “Equality Act” tries to create special privileges for a few, to crush the constitutionally protected rights of others. This legislation creates the opposite of equality by punishing people of faith in virtually every possible situation.

 

I am humbled by the opportunity to give tens of thousands of Americans a clear voice on Capitol Hill. Tomorrow, Lord willing, we will deliver Liberty Counsel Action’s petition to Senate leaders. I’m praying that this will be the first and last petition needed to stop S 788, but if necessary, we have a backup plan to stop this bill.
