EMPLOYEE ABUSE AT FORD MOTOR COMPANY DEALERSHIP

SUBJECT: Employee Abuse
Dear Sir:
This is to draw your attention to the abusive treatment of employees at the McKie Ford Motor Company located in Rapid City, South Dakota, a company that has won the President’s Award every years since 2002. The employees are treated with dis-respect during their work days, and especially by the management, should they give notice of leaving the employment of McKie Ford Motor Company.
They are verbally abused, humiliated, called names, and in general de-humanized for taking the initiative to quit working for such a despicable company. It is a disgrace to the Ford Motor Company to honor the McKie Ford Motor Company with the President’s Award, when their employees work so faithfully to do a good job, which has allowed the company to earn this award year after year. There is no consideration given to the employees for their honorable service and long hours without adequate pay. Even the bonus that accompanies the honor of the President’s Award is pocketed by the management/owners with no consideration given to the employees.
It would seem short-sightedness on the part of Ford Motor Company not to do a better investigation and evaluation of their dealerships when they are determining, who is to receive the President’s Award, for as a former employee of McKie Ford Motor Company, I have both observed all that is stated herein, and have been the recipient of such treatment, as an employee. The turn-over in the number of technicians employed at this company has been unreasonably high, due to the unfair and unprofessional treatment they receive by management. This has caused a negative image to develop in the Rapid City/Black Hills community of South Dakota concerning the McKie Ford Motor Company.
The community of Rapid City would appreciate your attention and cooperation in correcting this situation. --John Doe
