Persian Gulf Shooting - US vessel fires on boat off UAE coast, killing 1 16 Jul 2012 A US vessel has opened fire on a boat off the coast of the United Arab Emirates in the Persian Gulf, killing at least one person and injuring three others. The victims are reported to be Indian fishermen. It was not immediately clear why the USNS Rappahannock attacked a small motor boat near the Dubai port of Jebel Ali on Monday.
