    1.) Attack On US Embassy

This morning there was an attack on the US Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq. Several Iraqi protesters attacked the Embassy in support of the Iranian government, a nation that has been at odds with the United States for years.

    2.) Iranian Protesters

The protesters that stormed the embassy were Iraqi nationals but were there in support of the Iranian government. The protesters set fire to the reception area and reports are surfacing that threats of violence were heard on the ground.

    3.) Protests Over Airstrike

These protests started after the US performed a retaliatory strike against Iran. The Airstrike was done after Iranian forces killed a US Contractor. Many of the protesters at the Embassy were spotted in military garb and footage from the area confirmed this. The US Airstrikes killed 25 Iranian backed militia-men in Iraq.

Iran killed an American contractor, wounding many. We strongly responded, and always will. Now Iran is orchestrating an attack on the U.S. Embassy in Iraq. They will be held fully responsible. In addition, we expect Iraq to use its forces to protect the Embassy, and so notified!

The United States under the direction of the President is putting more troops in the region to secure the Embassy and the US Citizens inside. Furthermore, the President has vowed to counter any move by Iran or it's emissaries against the US.

    6.) Options Moving Forward

Moving past this the US has few options on the matter, this event can not remain unchallenged for long. The US could do a variety of things to solve this issue but it is widely agreed that a military conflict is not only unwise it is also unwanted. The US could perform another stirk in the region, the US could up the pressure on Iran with more sanctions.
