'Iran Will Never Bow To Global Bullies'
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says refusal to bow to pressure from bullying powers does not mean Tehran is pursuing nuclear weaponry.
Speaking on the occasion of the National Nuclear Technology Day on Tuesday, President Ahmadinejad said Iran has never been and will never be an aggressive nation.
"The UN nuclear watchdog has confirmed Iran's nuclear program is peaceful," said the Iranian president.
He added that the country's nuclear achievements are the result of the Iranian nation's solidarity and will to stand up to world powers.
Despite the monopoly of major powers on nuclear technology and in spite of Western pressures, Iranians have successfully mastered uranium enrichment, President Ahmadinejad said.
The new and advanced centrifuges, which are smaller but five times more efficient, are considered a major breakthrough in Iran's nuclear program, he continued.
President Ahmadinejad congratulated the nation on its nuclear achievements concluding that 'success belongs to all freethinking nations'.
