Pakistani security forces have arrested the attackers who had besieged a police training school near the eastern city of Lahore.
After eight hours of operation, the attackers found themselves surrendered by the security forces and were taken into custody, Press TV correspondent Mohammad reported on Monday.
The arrests followed an incident early on Monday when the gunmen in police uniform broke into Manawan police training school outside Lahore and attacked recruits with hand grenades and random gunfire.
At least 40 people were reportedly killed and 80 others were wounded. However, the exact death toll remains unclear.
Between 10 and 12 attackers were believed to be inside the school building. A senior interior ministry official said four of the attackers had been killed and several were arrested.
Dozens of policemen who had been taken hostage by the assailants in the academy’s premises have been released, our correspondent said.
The incident came less than a month after gunmen carried out a major assault on the visiting Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore, leaving eight Pakistanis dead and seven players and a coach injured.
The attack in the second-largest Pakistani city is the reminiscent of Mumbai’s ordeal last November, where about 170 people died in a 60-hour siege of the Indian financial capital.

LAHORE: Masked gunmen stormed Manawan police academy Monday, unleashing a fierce firefight that has left at least 26 dead in an echo of the commando-style assault on Sri Lanka’s cricket team.
Armed with grenades and assault rifles, and some of them dressed in police uniform, the attackers shot their way into the camp near Lahore and were continuing to trade fire six hours later with security forces.
Bodies of policemen were lying face down on the parade ground as rescuers carried out casualties on sheets and gunfire rattled round the compound at Manawan.
Paramilitary soldiers, armed and wearing flak jackets and helmets, opened fire and fanned out around the perimeter of the site, which was surrounded by scores of police cars and armoured vehicles, Geo news reported. People gathered outside the centre were boosting the morale of the operation forces engaged in carrying out the operation against terrorists.
“The number of killed is at least 26,” police officials told journalists, adding that around 90 were rushed to hospital. The security officials said the number of deaths could rise due to the crossfire. There were also television reports of hostages being taken, but that could not be confirmed.
“There were three or four back-to-back blasts from hand grenades and rocket launchers,” policeman Mohammad Riaz told Geo news from inside a room where he was barricaded with others.
“They directly targeted us. Suddenly there were bodies all around me,” one injured policeman told Geo news from his hospital bed.
Eyewitnesses said that half the assailants were in police uniform and half in civilian clothing. They were armed with hand grenades and rifles, and killed security guards at a rear entrance to get in.
Interior ministry chief Rehman Malik suggested homegrown terror movements were responsible.
“The nation knows these terrorist organisations,” he told Geo news, adding: “The question is — from where they are getting grenades, guns and rocket launchers in such a large number?”
Indian officials condemned the latest attack, saying it threatened security across the region and that its military was on alert for any “spillover.”
“We are deeply concerned. We condemn these terror attacks, we condemn all terror attacks and we offer our sympathies to the government and the people of Pakistan,” Home Minister Palaniappan Chidambaram told reporters.

Old enemies of Pakistan will take solace, and the Reds (surkahs) who had been quiet for decades will again surface like mushrooms after a rain to malign Pakistani foreign policy and hold religion responsible for all misdeeds of foreign agents. The usual cast of characters from the far left will blame Musharraf and his policies, Imtiaz Alam will blame the religion, and Asma GIlani will blame all Pakistanis. Hassan Askari will blame the criminals. Street wisdom is strong. The man or woman on the street knows the truth. The enemies of Pakistan have already been identified.
The Pakistani government under US pressure and due to total incompetence does not usually blame Delhi for the terrorist acts. For reasons known only to them, the PPPP government is very shy about calling a spade a spade.

Today Pakistanis face a similar campaign of bombing and sabotage from RAW and from other players about which Vice President refused to talk about in his interview on Face the Nation with Jim Shaeffer. The Pakistani nation would like to ask the same question from Vice President Biden. “Does the US conduct covert actions inside Pakistani territory“. The last time the question was asked of him, he said “I can’t answer this question, and I won’t answer this question”.
As a matter of fact by refusing to answer the question, he actually answered it. The fact remains that the CIA routinely conducts covert operations in Pakistan. RAW is an ally. RAW also conducts routine operations against Pakistan for its own objectives. Many times the objectives overlap and the agencies help each other out.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—A second Mumbai-style attack in Lahore in less than a month, both targeting Lahore, a city that has traditionally bore the brunt of Indian-inspired terrorism inside Pakistan.
The level of training of these people and the choice of targets leaves little doubt that someone is trying to teach Pakistan a lesson. It is baffling to see Interior Advisor Rehman Malik so eager to quickly pin the blame on groups such as Lashkar Tayyeba or Lashkar Jhangvi that were active in the Kashmir freedom struggle in the past and are dormant now. Accusing these groups is an indirect swipe at the Pakistani security and intelligence agencies that implemented State policy in the past of supporting the freedom fighters inside the disputed territory with India.
Why is Mr. Malik not willing to consider the possibilty of Indian involvement? Is he afraid of upsetting the Brits or the Americans? He knows more than anyone else that we have conclusive evidence of Indian involvement in terrorism in Balochistan and the tribal belt. Unfortunately, Pakistani media projection is not as strong as the propaganda of the American and the British media that supresses these facts. Pakistan has shared this information at the highest levels with the Americans, who continue to protect the Indians in Afghanistan because of long term strategic interest.
Additionally, where are those local agents of Indian intelligence that were arrested from various Pakistani cities in the past few weeks and months near both the Indian and the Afghan borders? Why are we scared of bringing these people out? Please cut through the thick propaganda smokescreen of the biased Anglo-American media and let the world and the peaceful Indian public opinion also know about the activities of their security agencies.
There is no question that terrorists involved in the attack will eventually turn out to be Pakistanis. No foreign-induced covert terrorist operation can succeed without local elements. The only country other than the United States that has an elaborate, Pakistan-focused intelligence setup in Afghanistan is India. The Indians are actively using the chaos in Afghanistan to create a wedge between the U.S. and Pakistan by indirectly supporting terrorist elements. This is one level of the covert war in the region. The second element is the suspicion that the U.S. is supporting the insurgencies inside Pakistan either directly or through the Indians and possibly other players.
Since we are unable to make our concerns heard throughout the world because of the bias and the choking grip of the American and British media, the only other way to highlight the nefarious and terrorism-abetting activities of Indian security and intelligence agencies is by cutting off rail, air, and road links with India, including denying Indian airlines the right to use Pakistan airspace and denying Indian overland trade to Central Asia pending the investigations and a review by Pakistan of Indian activities inside and around Pakistan.
This is also the time to neutralize elements in the Pakistani government such as President Zardari and Mr. Rehman Malik whose assets, lives and apparently loyalties lie outside Pakistan. Democracy cannot be allowed to become a trojan horse for foreign powers to meddle in Pakistan.

On March 30, 2009, the RAW’s trained terrorists again hit Lahore and killed 26 under training police personnel of Police Training Centre, Manawan Lahore. One terrorist apparently afghan nationality has been apprehended. It is doubted that terrorist has been given training at Jaisilmir (India) adjacent to Pakistan border. The terrorist was probably trying to flee away with the intentions of crossing border which is hardly 3 kilometers away from Sean of incidents. It is quite possible that assailants are same Indian black cats those attacked Sri Lankan team a month ago and yet to be arrested. RAW believes in Extremism and elimination of Muslims from India and now supporting indirectly BJP in her election Campaign. BJP is strongly has faith on Hindu Vatism which refers to Hindu extremism and domination. For a long time, the concept of Hindu Extremism and domination has ruled the Indian politics. Thus the achievement of this goal led New Delhi to adopt coercive diplomacy and concept of limited war. As the judicial movement succeeded in Pakistan and being a frontline state against terrorism, Islamabad became a throne in the eyes of India. It is impossible for her to confront Pakistan directly but at the same time, she wants to destabilize and deescalate Pakistan. Thus India started playing its cards in the form of covert operations inside Pakistan.
The attack on mosque in Khyber , the attack on Sri Lankan team in liberty and recently the attack on Pakistan police training center is evident upon fact that the impetus was provided by a foreign hand i.e.; RAW. All these efforts of India are directed towards proving Pakistan an irresponsible nation and a failed state. RAW backed by CIA is continuously spreading terrorism and sending well-planned terrorists in Pakistan. Any common man cannot plan such an extensive act and implement it alone without any foreign hand. It is without any doubt the outcome of the malicious planning of New Delhi to pave the way to malign the name of Pakistan and making excuses valid for drone attacks inside Pakistan. However, India should not forget that Pakistan is a responsible nation and will go to any extent to meet external threats.
CIA is using RAW and RAAM as her tools to implement her agenda of pushing Pakistan into anarchy and in political turmoil. American and Indian agencies never liked to see Pakistan a successful South Asian country. They are backing terrorism to victimize lonely Islamic Nuclear Power. The blaming ISI and Pakistan Security agencies and damaging Pakistan sovereignty is on the top their agenda. Pakistan political top brass must realize the facts and read the underlines of new strategy of CIA, which probably totally different to the Obama” announced policy.

The Indian trained terrorists involved in Liberty Lahore shootout, who were in a hide after attacking the Sri Lankan team, reappeared today at Police Training Centre, Manawan Lahore. The battle between the police and the RAW sponsored terrorists is going on at the moment and they have killed about 20 innocent people so far. The interesting thing is that this police training centre at Manawan is hardly 3 kilometers away from the Indo-Pak border and it is talked that these terrorists after attacking the Sri Lankan team were looking for a safe exit which they were unable to find. However today when they were trying to make a clean break were challenged by the security agencies on which they rushed into the police training centre and made the under training recruits, hostage. It is strongly believed that if some of them caught alive will reveal many startling facts.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—A second Mumbai-style attack in Lahore in less than a month, both targeting Lahore, a city that has traditionally bore the brunt of Indian-inspired terrorism inside Pakistan.
The level of training of these people and the choice of targets leaves little doubt that someone is trying to teach Pakistan a lesson. It is baffling to see Interior Advisor Rehman Malik so eager to quickly pin the blame on groups such as Lashkar Tayyeba or Lashkar Jhangvi that were active in the Kashmir freedom struggle in the past and are dormant now. Accusing these groups is an indirect swipe at the Pakistani security and intelligence agencies that implemented State policy in the past of supporting the freedom fighters inside the disputed territory with India.
Why is Mr. Malik not willing to consider the possibilty of Indian involvement? Is he afraid of upsetting the Brits or the Americans? He knows more than anyone else that we have conclusive evidence of Indian involvement in terrorism in Balochistan and the tribal belt. Unfortunately, Pakistani media projection is not as strong as the propaganda of the American and the British media that supresses these facts. Pakistan has shared this information at the highest levels with the Americans, who continue to protect the Indians in Afghanistan because of long term strategic interest.
Additionally, where are those local agents of Indian intelligence that were arrested from various Pakistani cities in the past few weeks and months near both the Indian and the Afghan borders? Why are we scared of bringing these people out? Please cut through the thick propaganda smokescreen of the biased Anglo-American media and let the world and the peaceful Indian public opinion also know about the activities of their security agencies.
There is no question that terrorists involved in the attack will eventually turn out to be Pakistanis. No foreign-induced covert terrorist operation can succeed without local elements. The only country other than the United States that has an elaborate, Pakistan-focused intelligence setup in Afghanistan is India. The Indians are actively using the chaos in Afghanistan to create a wedge between the U.S. and Pakistan by indirectly supporting terrorist elements. This is one level of the covert war in the region. The second element is the suspicion that the U.S. is supporting the insurgencies inside Pakistan either directly or through the Indians and possibly other players.
Since we are unable to make our concerns heard throughout the world because of the bias and the choking grip of the American and British media, the only other way to highlight the nefarious and terrorism-abetting activities of Indian security and intelligence agencies is by cutting off rail, air, and road links with India, including denying Indian airlines the right to use Pakistan airspace and denying Indian overland trade to Central Asia pending the investigations and a review by Pakistan of Indian activities inside and around Pakistan.
This is also the time to neutralize elements in the Pakistani government such as President Zardari and Mr. Rehman Malik whose assets, lives and apparently loyalties lie outside Pakistan. Democracy cannot be allowed to become a trojan horse for foreign powers to meddle in Pakistan.
Take action on India, Mr. Malik.

RAW implanting New CIA’ Strategy - Lahore Strikes

On March 30, 2009, the RAW’s trained terrorists again hit Lahore and killed 26 under training police personnel of Police Training Centre, Manawan Lahore. One terrorist apparently afghan nationality has been apprehended. It is doubted that terrorist has been given training at Jaisilmir (India) adjacent to Pakistan border. The terrorist was probably trying to flee away with the intentions of crossing border which is hardly 3 kilometers away from Sean of incidents. It is quite possible that assailants are same Indian black cats those attacked Sri Lankan team a month ago and yet to be arrested. RAW believes in Extremism and elimination of Muslims from India and now supporting indirectly BJP in her election Campaign. BJP is strongly has faith on Hindu Vatism which refers to Hindu extremism and domination. For a long time, the concept of Hindu Extremism and domination has ruled the Indian politics. Thus the achievement of this goal led New Delhi to adopt coercive diplomacy and concept of limited war. As the judicial movement succeeded in Pakistan and being a frontline state against terrorism, Islamabad became a throne in the eyes of India. It is impossible for her to confront Pakistan directly but at the same time, she wants to destabilize and deescalate Pakistan. Thus India started playing its cards in the form of covert operations inside Pakistan.
The attack on mosque in Khyber , the attack on Sri Lankan team in liberty and recently the attack on Pakistan police training center is evident upon fact that the impetus was provided by a foreign hand i.e.; RAW. All these efforts of India are directed towards proving Pakistan an irresponsible nation and a failed state. RAW backed by CIA is continuously spreading terrorism and sending well-planned terrorists in Pakistan. Any common man cannot plan such an extensive act and implement it alone without any foreign hand. It is without any doubt the outcome of the malicious planning of New Delhi to pave the way to malign the name of Pakistan and making excuses valid for drone attacks inside Pakistan. However, India should not forget that Pakistan is a responsible nation and will go to any extent to meet external threats.
CIA is using RAW and RAAM as her tools to implement her agenda of pushing Pakistan into anarchy and in political turmoil. American and Indian agencies never liked to see Pakistan a successful South Asian country. They are backing terrorism to victimize lonely Islamic Nuclear Power. The blaming ISI and Pakistan Security agencies and damaging Pakistan sovereignty is on the top their agenda. Pakistan political top brass must realize the facts and read the underlines of new strategy of CIA, which probably totally different to the Obama” announced policy.
India Strikes again at Lahore

The Indian trained terrorists involved in Liberty Lahore shootout, who were in a hide after attacking the Sri Lankan team, reappeared today at Police Training Centre, Manawan Lahore. The battle between the police and the RAW sponsored terrorists is going on at the moment and they have killed about 20 innocent people so far. The interesting thing is that this police training centre at Manawan is hardly 3 kilometers away from the Indo-Pak border and it is talked that these terrorists after attacking the Sri Lankan team were looking for a safe exit which they were unable to find. However today when they were trying to make a clean break were challenged by the security agencies on which they rushed into the police training centre and made the under training recruits, hostage. It is strongly believed that if some of them caught alive will reveal many startling facts.

direct responsibiltiy must be established
in Pakistan National assembly as well as
in punjab High court.
The CJ must take notice, these Indian

Pakistan salutes its brave, fearless, precise, and highly efficient security forces in thwarting yet another raw-designed and executed terrorist act at the police training academy in lahore. the response of the public was telling in their trust support and trust in the security forces, army, police, elite commando, paramilitary.
several things come out. this time raw agents have been caught alive. exploiting the home garden variety of terrorists they have repeated the number they played upon the sri lankan team. rehman malik must be introduced to some of these murderers so that he begins see the bloody hand of raw in destabilizing Pakistan.
without doubt, the real-time performance of Pakistan’s security forces is tops. whereas it took rice-eating daal-shitting indians more than 60 hours and an enormous loss of civilian life to end their own act of terror, Pakistan security forces accomplished a fantastic feat in just under 8 hours with minimal or no loss of life at their hands and capturing several terrorists alive. bravo.
that geo tv and cnn are the shameless enemies is the State of Pakistan is no secret. geo had the audacity to declare it “the beginning of the civil war” in an attempt to instill fear and chaos among people. and for its own convenience, cnn was totally mute on india. not a word on Pakistan security forces sterling performance.

It is time for Pakistan to realize that the Pak Army and the ISI has to stop looking at the terrorists as strategic assets.
It should also realize that you can not patronize one group of terrorists, while fighting another.
Using these terrorists as proxy against another soverign nation, comes with a price. Pakistan is perhaps paying that price now.
The international community has been warning Pakistan of the danger of terrorism consuming Pakistan, but the Pakistani authorities are in a state of denis, so is the Pak media.
The solution to the problem has to start with the Pak army and the ISI.

This is very typical of the Indian government and the R&AW. They believe in Chankia’s policy i.e keep creating problems for your neighbours by covertly destabilizing them. Chankia was of the opinion that “your neighbors are your enemies and the neighbours of your neighbors are your friends.” For more than 60 years India has been busy creating chaos in Pakistan by such covert operations. They have even tried to attach China in 1962 in which China learnt them a lesson they will never forget. The same lesson was taught to them by Pakistan 3 years later. That’s why from 1970s onwards they have been using covert operations as a tool to destabilize their neighbors.
Pakistan cannot be blamed for terrorism inside India as India is a state where minorities are living a miserable life at the mercy of Hindu majority and they want freedom. That’s why there are more than 70 freedom movements in India.
Sri Lanka is another Indian neighbor who has suffered just like Pakistan. In Sri Lanka, R&AW has been supporting LTTE since early 1980s. Thanks to their brave army, LTTE has been suppressed and peace has been restored in Northern Sri Lanka. Pakistan’s armed forces and police are also trying to eliminate these terror elements in FATA who have every kind of support from Indian R&AW and as our armed forces are gaining victory, these Indian trained terrorists are attacking the police and armed forces in total frustration.
Just like the Sri Lanka, we will be victorious against these Inian supported terror elements. Inshallah
