GUN BAN ON MILITARY BASES IS KILLING OUR SOLDIERS

At Liberty Counsel Action, we are praying for the families of the six victims who lost their lives in this senseless violence. And for the eight more reportedly hospitalized.
President Trump said "My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families during this difficult time. We are continuing to monitor the situation as the investigation is ongoing." But more than sympathy, we need to act to decrease the risk of this happening again.
Our military personnel are the best in the world at stopping an armed threat before that person can harm others. When stationed overseas, those military personnel are heavily armed to do just that.
Yet, those same soldiers and sailors are not allowed to carry guns on base or even have guns in their barracks or military housing when they are stationed on American soil.
We would never dream of sending our soldiers into battle without a weapon, yet, every day we are sending them to a well-known, gun-free zone where they are sitting ducks to ISIS, or Al-Qaeda, or lone wolf terrorists.
This policy is illogical, insane and dangerous; and it needs to stop NOW before even one more American military life can be taken by madmen and terrorists.

The fact is that gun-free zones attract shooters because they want to act out where they won't face someone else with a gun right away. In contrast, I've never heard of someone opening fire at an NRA conference or a gun show.
Today's victims were highly trained and highly vetted. But this "gun-free" zone strips them of the ability to defend themselves from an attack on American soil.
Please send a clear message that this need to change now.
