In yet another great way to show our appreciation to the brave soldiers that fight for our country (at least theoretically), Diane Feinstein said before a judiciary committee that all military veterans are mentally ill in some way and should not be allowed to own or have access to firearms.  With conclusive evidence like this, it’s clear to see that she’s right.  After all, she did say it, so it must undoubtedly be true.  Senator Feinstein has made bizarre comments that have incited the gun activist crowd in the past, but this blatant attack against our veterans may be her worst yet.

As an aside, there may be some truth to what Feinstein said.  After all,  many of our soldiers go into the services with a different idea of what they are doing than they have when they come home.  Maybe it’s the tribulation in this day and age of thinking you are fighting for freedom and democracy and then finding out what you are really fighting for does really take a toll on your mental health.  But to imply that they are crazy en masse is ludicrous and an insult to veterans everywhere.

Personally, I would say that the average veteran is probably the best person to have a gun in their hand for their own protection as opposed to the average person out there with little or no weapons training.

But then again, I don’t have the authority to make a statement like that, because I don’t have the damning pool of evidence and facts to pull from that Diane Feinstein does when she makes these blanket declarations.
