Navy Yard: The Vultures Are Preparing

Sept. 16, 2013

As I made my way around the Capitol in DC this morning, news broke about the mass shooting at the Navy Yard nearby.

While completely verifiable information is still hard to come by at this point, it appears at least one thug set out today to murder innocent men and women.

My prayers and those of my staff here at the National Association for Gun Rights go out to the victims and their families.

If it hasn’t happened already, you can expect the Obama/Bloomberg anti-gun machine to start banging the drums for gun control.

Of course, this is complete nonsense.

The thought of innocent people forced to flee -- unable to defend themselves -- is beyond frustrating.

As you probably know, DC is the gun control lobby’s anti-gun paradise . . . a vision for the rest of America.

Virtually the entire city is a “Gun Free Zone,” or what I call a Criminal Safezone.

Criminal Safezones do nothing to deter criminals from waging war on Americans going about their daily lives.

In fact, they empower criminals, disarming law-abiding men and women who wish to defend themselves.

You know the drill from the gun-grabbers: never let a “crisis” go to waste.

You and I both know that Barack Obama and the gun control crowd will work every angle to restrict our rights.

Expect them to pounce on this “opportunity” soon.

Your continued engagement and activism could be the only thing that stands between our gun rights and the coming gun control schemes.

My staff and I will be sure to keep you updated on any new legislative developments here at the Capitol.

Once again, please keep the victims and their families in your thoughts and prayers.

For Freedom,

Dudley Brown

Executive Vice President
