President Joe Biden gave a Primetime speech in Philadelphia in which he referred to Trump supporters and republicans as a threat to democracy. His speech drew a lot of criticism from many on the right, and President Trump had a few things to say about it.

Trump posted on his social media platform Truth Social his thoughts on the speech where he referred to Biden as “insane.”

“If you look at the words and meaning of the awkward and angry Biden speech tonight, he threatened America, including with the possible use of military force,” Trump posted. “He must be insane, or suffering from late stage dementia!”

Trump also went on to say that if Biden did not want to “Make America Great,” then he should not be representing the country.

“Someone should explain to Joe Biden, slowly but passionately, that MAGA means, as powerfully as mere words can get, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump posted on Truth Social. “If he doesn’t want to Make America Great Again, which through words, action, and thought, he doesn’t, then he certainly should not be representing the United States of America!”

In Biden’s speech, he stated that he would “not stand by and watch” Republicans and Trump supporters take back power along with their “extreme ideology.”

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) tweeted that Biden owed millions of Americans who did not vote for Biden an apology.

“Instead of trying to bring our country together to solve the MANY problems he has created, President Biden has chosen to divide, demean, and disparage his fellow Americans — simply because they disagree with his policies,” McCarthy tweeted.

Some Republican representatives took to social media to encourage fellow Republicans to vote.

“Don’t assume there is a red wave coming,” Rep. Mayra Flores (R-Tx) tweeted. If we don’t turn out BIG in November. There will be no wave.”
