With each passing day, the administration is enacting new measures of the coronavirus panic.

The uncertainty of this outbreak has hit our economy hard. Businesses don’t know when they can reopen.

And many employees, especially hourly workers, worry they might lose their job.

President Trump has already rolled out plans to protect small businesses during this time. But he’s taking extra steps to ensure families hit the hardest by this crisis are protected.

We already heard about plans to send $1000 to Americans. But it looks like that number is going to go up.

From The Hour:

White House officials are working with congressional Republicans on an emergency stimulus package that could send two $1,000 checks to many Americans and also devote $300 billion towards helping small businesses avoid mass layoffs, according to two senior administration officials.

According to reports, White House officials are working with Republican lawmakers to hammer out an emergency stimulus package.

That package could include two $1,000 checks to Americans who might miss work and wages over the coming weeks.

Many businesses have remained open during this crisis. In fact, some like grocery stores are seeking additional workers.

But many in the travel industry and restaurant industry are getting hit, big time. With few people traveling or spending time out of their homes, it could mean layoffs.

There are many things Trump can do to limit the fallout of this disaster. Already Congress has prepared legislation to provide tax relief and loans to small businesses.

That can help companies keep workers afloat, even as business slows.

But what’s the deal with the $2,000 checks? It might sound like a drastic step, given this will come out of taxes in later years.

The administration is hoping this inject of cash will help working families. With this money, they won’t have to fear running out of needed supplies.

That’s especially true of any family with sick members right now.
