Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats are moving in for the kill.

They think now is the time to press forward with their plan to remove the President from office.

But that all stopped when a judge dropped the hammer on Pelosi’s big plan to impeach President Trump.

Democrats are gearing up for a fight over Donald Trump’s tax returns.

They are looking to invoke an obscure 1924 law that allows the chairman of the House Committee on Ways and Means to obtain tax returns from any individual in America.

Fox News legal analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano appeared on Fox and Friends to discuss this looming battle.

Napolitano warned that it was likely the Democrats would ultimately prevail in this fight and get their hands on the President’s tax returns.

“They believe — and I’ve spoken to so many Democrats, even some of our colleagues here — they believe that there’s a substantial part of their constituency that wants them to drive Donald Trump crazy, irrespective of the outcome in 2020,” Napolitano relayed to the hosts of Fox and Friends.

Napolitano described how simple it would be for the Democrats to get their hands on Trump’s tax returns.

“How can they possibly get his tax returns? The chair of the Senate Finance Committee and the chair of the corresponding House committee can send a letter to the secretary of the Treasury and get anybody’s tax returns,” Judge Napolitano concluded.

Napolitano continued explaining that there was little Trump could do to win this current battle.

But the Fox News legal analyst described how Trump could ultimately win the war over the Democrats harassing and terrorizing the President.

“It is a form of harassment, but there’s nothing anybody can do about it,” Napolitano continued. “This is just the way the Democrats are. When will this stop? When public sentiment has said enough is enough.”

The Judge then told the Fox News hosts and audience that Trump’s best chance to stop this harassment campaign was to rally the public against the Democrats’ extremism.

“Build up public resistance to it is the best [Trump] can do. Because under the Constitution and under the statutes, they do have the authority to do this,” he added. “I think it’s profoundly unwise. When they said to me, what do you think we should do? I said, compromise with the president and legislate. ‘Oh no, we have to investigate not legislate.’”

If Trump can communicate a message that the Democrats strayed into partisan fishing expeditions, as opposed to legitimate Congressional oversight, there is a path available for the President to make political hay out of the Democrats’ overreach and boost his re-election chances.

Bill Clinton pulled this trick off against Republicans in the 1990s.

So it can be done.

And Trump is a much more skilled communicator than Clinton.

The President also has tools at his disposal – namely social media – that will allow him to circumvent the fake news media and make his case directly to the American people.
