TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME: WHAT IT REALLY MEANS

The more you fear something the more likely you are to hate it. Rational human beings don’t understand the excessive anger directed against President Trump. What, exactly has he done to deserve this level of animosity? Sadly, way too many Americans are not thinking rationally about the president and his policies. Even more sadly this includes many of our elected leaders and members of Congress who are supposed to put country ahead of party. Much of the blame has to be placed at the door of the major media in this country. A recent Harvard study showed that 93% of CNN and NBC coverage of the president had a “negative tone.” CBS came in at 91% negative and, while ABC wasn’t included, even Fox News came in more negative than positive.

An important aspect of this anti-Trump coverage is the extreme vehemence of it. Saying it denotes a “negative tone” doesn’t come close to describing the rhetoric. A negative tone might be disagreement with a policy or the way the policy was implemented. Calling President Trump, an incompetent, a racist, a misogynist, and the next best thing to a traitor deserving impeachment is more than just a “negative tone.” It gets much worse than even that. Look at the hateful things late night host Steven Colbert said recently and decide if it is just a “negative tone.” He said, “You’re turning into a real prick-tator. “You attract more skinheads than free Rogaine. You have more people marching against you than cancer. You talk like a sign language gorilla who got hit in the head. In fact, the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin’s c*** holster.”  It should be noted that his audience loved his tirade.

As bad as that was Bill Maur topped it by lewdly insinuating (You have to actually look at the video to see how disgustingly he did so.) that Ivanka Trump, the President’s daughter, a married woman and mother of three, has an incestuous relationship to the President.  Saying things like this on a public street might get you punched in the mouth. Again it reflects just how scared progressives are of our president.

This is not mere disagreement about what is best for America. This is outright hatred of President Trump and any who support him. What the Trump derangement syndrome really means is that the liberals fear what President Trump might be able to do to their vision of a Progressive America. Trump supporters should view this as a good thing. It means we have a chance to win a second American Revolution. In 1776, Thomas Paine , wrote, “Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value.”

The useful idiots who don’t question the anti-Trump rhetoric and believe the major media lies about him will turn out to be the summer soldiers and sunshine patriots described by Thomas Paine. If we stand behind the President and support him in his efforts to make America great again we have a chance to restore American values. Traditional values made us the greatest nation in the history of the world. Progressive policies have never succeeded anywhere or any when. Those “snowflakes” who now demonstrate against Trump today, if they find better paying jobs in an expanding economy will rethink their beliefs. The Democrat Party was and is bankrupt of ideas that can really work. Less government is better government.  Progressive policies discourage incentive; Trump’s traditional policies do the opposite. Given time to succeed only the most diehard progressives will fail to appreciate the difference.
