Trump More Popular in New York Than de Blasio

A new poll shows that President Trump has a higher favorability rating in liberal New York state than New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio.

According to The Washington Free Beacon:

New York City mayor and Democratic presidential candidate Bill de Blasio is viewed favorably by fewer New York state voters than President Donald Trump, a new poll shows.

A Siena College poll showed that 29 percent of New Yorkers view de Blasio favorably, with 53 percent viewing him unfavorably. Trump was viewed favorably by 34 percent, although he had a higher unfavorable rating at 63 percent. Only 3 percent didn't have an opinion on Trump, while 17 percent didn't have one on de Blasio.

De Blasio was underwater with Democrats (39 favorable/45 unfavorable), Republicans (13/70), and Independents (24/58). Trump was viewed unfavorably by wide margins among Democrats (19/77) and Independents (32/65) as well. In keeping with his national popularity with the GOP, however, Trump held a 70/29 split with the state's Republicans.
