Robert Mueller and the Democrats claim Trump is “guilty until proven innocent” … but that twisted standard is never applied to themselves

In the eight minutes he took to plant the “impeachment” seed in the Democrat-controlled House on Wednesday during his press conference, former special counsel Robert Mueller introduced a classification of wrongdoing: The political crime.

That is, in claiming that his team of 19 prosecutors and 50 FBI agents could not find actual evidence that POTUS Donald Trump ‘obstructed justice’ during their “Russian collusion” witch hunt, he’s likely guilty anyway because he’s a Republican who’s no card-carrying member of the Deep State.

“The point here is, is that what Mueller has done here is stand our system of justice on its head. And it happens right here in this statement: ‘If we had confidence the president did not commit a crime, we would have said so,’” talk radio legend Rush Limbaugh observed during his show hours after Mueller’s press conference.

“If we had confidence the president DID NOT commit a crime we would have said so. We did not however make a determination if the president did commit a crime,” Mueller said.

“That’s not the gig!” Limbaugh noted further, adding that prosecutors either find enough evidence to indict, or they don’t. But in POTUS Trump’s case, Mueller put the burden of proof on him to prove he didn’t do anything by simply saying ‘we can’t profess him to be innocent.’

What happened to our long-standing legal standard of “innocent until proven guilty”? Mueller changes that to accommodate Democrats in the House, who are doing the Deep State’s work in attempting to get rid of the president. And yet, as The Gateway Pundit points out, Mueller made sure to explain when he indicted more than a dozen Russians for alleged 2016 election interference that just because they were charged doesn’t mean they’re guilty.

So much for what was left of Mueller’s reputation as a ‘fair’ guy

During the same press conference Wednesday, Mueller said of those indictments:

As alleged by the grand jury indictment, Russian intelligence officers who were part of the Russian military launched a concerted attack on our political system. The indictment alleges that they used sophisticated cyber techniques to hack into computers and networks used by the [Hillary] Clinton campaign.

[Subsequent email releases] were designed and timed to interfere with our election and to damage a presidential candidate.

And at the same time, as the grand jury alleged in a separate indictment, a private Russian entity engaged in a social media operation where Russian citizens posed as Americans in order to influence an election. These indictments contain allegations that we are not commenting on the guilt or innocence of any specific defendant. Every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. (Emphasis added.)

Unless, of course, your name is Donald Trump and you’re the president of the United States, not head of the Deep State from which Mueller came.

Later, during an appearance on Fox Business’ “Lou Dobbs Tonight,” Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton blasted Mueller, saying he has completely destroyed whatever credibility he had left.

“I don’t know what reputation he had that deserved any credence until now, but it’s clear it’s no longer there,” Fitton said. “He’s really destroyed whatever reputation he’s had with this political attack on the president.

He added that Mueller is “turning the rule of law on its head suggesting the president is guilty, and because he can’t prove otherwise we should conclude that he should be impeached,” Fitton continued. “It’s an abuse of power, once again, by the Mueller special counsel, and him personally.”

If we have learned anything from Mueller’s statement on Wednesday it is that the Deep State is real and he’s trying to protect it at any cost, including to his reputation and trust in our governing institutions, without which our country cannot sustain itself.
