Donald Trump told supporters in North Carolina Tuesday that President Barack Obama was angrier at him than at the Florida man who gunned down 49 people and injured 53 others at a gay nightclub in Orlando over the weekend.

"I watched President Obama today," the presumptive Republican nominee said at the Greensboro Coliseum. "And he was more angry at me than he was at the shooter — and many people said that.

"One of the folks on television said, 'Boy, has Trump gotten under his skin, but he was more angry' — and a lot of people said … that's the kind of anger he should have for the shooter and these killers that shouldn't be here."

In a speech at the White House, Obama slammed Trump's speech Monday renewing his call for a ban on Muslims entering the United States and said that using the term "radical Islam" would accomplish nothing in the fight against terrorism.

Mateen was born in New York — and he was a U.S. citizen whose parents were from Afghanistan. He has pledged allegiance to the Islamic State.

In Greensboro, Trump also bashed Democrat Hillary Clinton, who said that Republicans needed to "stand up to their presumptive nominee."

"Hillary Clinton just yesterday used the term 'radical Islam,'" the billionaire told the crowd. "If you don't know what the term is and if you don't discuss what the problem is and if you can't say the real name, we have a radical Islam terrorism problem.

"We can say we don't and pretend like Obama that we don't — where Obama spent a long time talking about it and nobody at the end of the speech understood anything other than boy, does he hate Donald Trump."
