BOMBSHELL: Obama HELPED Terrorists Enforcing Shariah Law in Iraq
The Popular Mobilization Force — a Shia Muslim group operating in Iraq under the command of the Iraqi government — was the poster child for President Barack Obama’s “moderate” groups in the war against the Islamic State group and its commitment to enforcing Shariah law throughout a worldwide caliphate.
Supported by the administration and the military, the Popular Mobilization Force was supposed to save the Middle East from descending into religious extremism.
Far from doing that, however, the Obama-backed forces have actually started enforcing Shariah law among the people of Baghdad, especially Christians.
According to the Long War Journal, posters put up by the PMF warned Christians not to celebrate Christmas and ordered Christian women to wear the hijab.
A poster titled “Why was the Virgin Mary, Peace Be Upon Her, veiled,” spelled out exactly how the PMF felt about the Christian minority not following their religious strictures.
“Stop and Look!,” the poster continued, according to a translation. “To our respected Christian sister: The Virgin Mary (peace be upon her) was veiled because it was the tradition of the prophets. And because it comes from one source and from One God who is God Almighty, but the devil is not pleased with this. So it is incumbent upon you to follow the Virgin Mary as a role model, so why do you not wear the hijab!!?”
It was also reported that Christians in Baghdad “had received threats from militias who had taken over the city” warning them against celebrating Christmas “in order to honor the martyrs of the Hashid Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Force) who defended ‘the nation and the religion.’”
In spite of the fact that the coalition includes listed terrorist groups like the Hezbollah Brigades and its leader is also a listed terrorist, the PMF has been praised by Obama’s State Department and military.
These are the sorts of “moderates” that Obama’s been supporting.
And to what end? After all, one group of extremists defeating another group of extremists does not bring peace or freedom. It brings only a slightly different flavor of Islamic extremism.
When our only friends are the ones looking to establish Shariah law, and our enemies are countries like Russia that are looking to put an end to the Islamic State group, it’s become clear our president’s priorities have been deliberately misplaced.
