Will Hawaii Destroy Obama's Birth Certificate?

"This seems almost incredible to me, but the authorities have been so deceptive and evasive on this issue, that it cannot be dismissed as impossible," the report concluded.

Even such a draconian move probably would not finish questions about Obama's origins, however, since WND has reported that among other documentation not yet available for Obama is his kindergarten records, Punahou school records, Occidental College records, Columbia University records, Columbia thesis, Harvard Law School records, Harvard Law Review articles, scholarly articles from the University of Chicago, passport, medical records, files from his years as an Illinois state senator, Illinois State Bar Association records, any baptism records and his adoption records.

WND reported earlier on the fact that while the Hawaii Health Department says it currently only issues a "Certification of Live Birth," the state's Department of Hawaiian Home Lands required an original "Certificate of Live Birth" to qualify for its programs.

Tell Obama you don't buy his state-run media coverup!

"This is a more complete record of your birth than the Certification of Live Birth," said the Homelands website. "Submitting the original Certificate of Live Birth will save you time and money since the computer-generated Certification requires additional verification by DHHL."

However, at the height of questions over the various documents, the state's DHHL suddenly changed its website reference to allow for the "Certification of Live Birth" as a formal authentication document.

It was only weeks earlier when WND pointed out that the document Barack Obama has released as proof of a Hawaiian birth was not accepted by the Hawaiian Home Lands program, presumably because it was not a reliable test of an actual Hawaiian birth.

Here is the "Certification of Live Birth" presented by Obama:

Short-form "Certification of Live Birth"

The investigator commissioned by the CIA officer said the change followed a statement from the state, through spokeswoman Janice Okuba, that the state did not release copies of original birth certificates any longer.

"Ms. Okubo's statement gave the false impression that Obama could not gain access to or release 'the original Certificate of Live Birth,' and that it was the DOH's policy rather than his own reluctance that was responsible for the holding back of this Certificate," the investigator said

"This was an obvious deception. The document at the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands website indicates that at the time she made this statement it was false, and that a procedure was in place for application for 'the original Certificate of Live Birth,'" the report said.

"Only the information on the original birth certificate, 'the original Certificate of Live Birth,' can demonstrate to the people of the United States whether there is convincing evidence that he was actually born here or whether a relative or two (or possibly even Barack Obama himself) just made a statement to that effect to a low level bureaucrat," the report said.

The action sometime between June 10 and 18 upgraded "the apparent status of the abbreviated Certification of Live Birth which it had formerly regarded as insufficiently probative. Why?" said the report.

WND reported earlier that the document Obama posted on his campaign website and distributed to select news organizations as proof he was a "natural born citizen" would not be accepted as a "birth certificate" even for some Hawaiian state government eligibility issues.

WND also previously reported certifications of live birth were widely issued to Hawaiians born in foreign countries in 1961, the year Obama was born. No federal or state official has ever explained why a document issued for foreign births could possibly be used to establish eligibility as a "natural born citizen."

Okubo also has said the state began issuing only "Certifications of Live Birth" in 2001 when the health department went paperless. It is only available in electronic form, she said.

Hawaii's director of health, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, also this week issued a second statement that she has seen the "original birth records" that verify Obama was born in Hawaii and is a "natural-born American citizen."

But in two separate telephone interviews with WND, Okubo, the health department's public information officer, told WND that Hawaii law prohibited her from commenting on the birth records of any specific person.

WND also reported the Hawaii Department of Heath said no paper birth certificate records were destroyed when the department moved to electronic record-keeping in 2001.

That statement from Okubo contradicted CNN U.S. President Jon Klein, who ordered host Lou Dobbs to quit discussing Obama's birth certificate on the air. Klein insisted the issue was "dead" because Obama's original long-form birth certificate had been destroyed by the Hawaii DOH in the conversion to electronic files.
