The media was up in arms after Trump tweeted the fake news media was the enemy of the American people.
Trump didn’t criticize the First Amendment.
He didn’t talk about curtailing the ability of the press to report.
He didn’t even lump the whole media into the category of enemies of the American people.
Trump merely said certain media entities that publish fake news are harmful to the American people.
The media lost its mind.
So in an interview on Meet the Press, John McCain – the chief Republican who will always sell out the party for favorable media coverage – rode to the rescue.
But he let it slip that Trump was a threat to the new world order.
Many global elites believe Trump is a threat to the world order which was established after World War II.
He opposes open borders, multi-lateral trade deals, and endless foreign wars.
These are three pillars of the “liberal” world order of the last seventy years.
But they have not served the interests of the American people.
Mass migration creates downward pressure on Americans as companies look to import cheap foreign labor.
Trade deals such as NAFTA have gutted the American middle class.
And foreign wars like the Iraq War have drained America’s treasury and created great strains on the families of those who served.
These wars are not fought for American national security but rather in pursuit of “values.”
The elites that make up this liberal world order hate Trump.
Chief among them is the media.
